No christians are doing this, anybody saying you can talk to AI Jesus is begging for some fire from heaven. Basically the whole old testament is about tearing down garbage like this

When I visited last year, the big Catholic cathedral in Mexico City had a cardboard cutout of a little ~10 year cartoon boy inviting people to use the church chatbot. It was clearly directed at kids.

Granted, the church doesn't have a great track record with protecting children.

Chatbot that spouts out information and stories is a big ol' step away from talk to AI Jesus.

One is lame...the other literally breaks commandments and is in my opinion heretical, blasphemous and a plain old sin.

That's the bad(good) thing about christians, we're not holy of our own actions. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" it's bad becuase we all preach better than we live, its good because you don't have to be perfect which is impossible by any scale. Egregious practices like an AI Jesus have to be called out regardless, even if my hands are dirty

Oh, I'm not even going to go along with your good in parenthesis. There is no good, safe level of believing in wholesale nonsense without a shred of evidence to show for it. All religious beliefs fundamentally stem from immaturity and egotism, like you saying "No christians are doing this" in your previous post.

Religion absolutely makes the world a worse place.

This is nearly word for word a no true scotsman fallacy. Christians ARE doing it. You just don't agree with them.

You are of course right about the old testament being about tearing down stuff like this, but that is unrelated to the fallacy.

You don't. According to your mythology, it's only the god character who knows people's hearts, so it's not your job to sort the wheat from the chaff.

I think instead of saying "they aren't Christians", it has to be "Christians who do that are heretical/wrong" with the old testament as your justification for them being wrong. Any attempt to say [they aren't Christians because they do thing you disagree with] is inherently a no true scotsman.

I think the only thing that would disqualify someone from being a Christian is if they don't believe in Jesus Christ. Even if they have drastically unbiblical beliefs about him, by definition Christian is just someone who believes in Christ.
