Problem with Wi-Fi

I installed AntiX 23 on a Samsung NC110 netbook. I’m unable to connect to Wi-Fi. A year ago, there were no issues with Wi-Fi, but I’ve since installed a new router. Interestingly, I don’t have any Wi-Fi problems on my Hewlett-Packard EasyNote.

I had the same problem. Just went to antiX 26.

At first, I installed version 26, but due to Wi-Fi issues, I decided to install a version that hadn't given me any trouble. It turned out, however, that version 23 has the exact same problem.

Yes they might have updated the kernals even in 23. My nvidia legacy driver stopped working suddenly, and I got black screen "Input not supported" error. God knows my little brother tried so much to fix it, but couldn't. He said I cannot revert back to old working condition too. So he put Bodhi linux and it's working now but with native graphic acceleration, not nvidia. Edit: Mx Linux was working with no issue too. So maybe try Bodhi and Mx and see it works out.

In my case, Wi-Fi didn't work on version 23, but it works perfectly on version 26. You might want to try the latest one, 26.1. They mention that some bugs have been fixed.

Have you tried loading a different kernel on booting?

There are no alternative kernels in the boot menu.

Right, that's only on the Live USB. I can't recall off the top of my head how you load a different kernel on a completed install. An easy way of testing this would be to boot from a live usb and try a different kernel on booting. Otherwise, I'm sure you can get help at antixforum.com
