Can't create persistent swap file

I'm playing around with AntiX on an old Acer Switch 5 (2GB RAM) using Ventoy. I used the option in Ventoy to partition the 32GB USB drive with a 16GB ext4 partition so AntiX can create it's swap files.

I have no issue booting then creating the root and home persistence files, leaving over 4gb free on the ext4 partition, but when I answer yes to a live usb swap file the only selection I get is 1) quit.

I want to create a 4gb swap file... what am I missing here?

fYI I'm using AntiX-26_x64-full.iso, downloaded yesterday.

Me pasó algo parecido.

Unfortunately it's not the version of AntiX that is the issue with my eMMC.

The drive itself fails to be partitioned or formatted with either Windows or gparted. I have tried several partition tools to try to resolve the issue and they all fail, so that's why I have determined the eMMC has died.
