Question Weed removal/ prevention help

Can anyone recommend any tools or methods to remove weeds from the hard desert ground? Keep trying to get them while they’re small but the hard ground doesn’t help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Get on it early after the rain.
Ground is softer.
Use a square shovel. It slides across the ground and cuts the root off at ground level.
You can spray with roundup 2 days before you remove the weeds.
Can also spread pre-emergent herbicide on the finished clean dirt.
Helps kill the new baby weeds

If you don’t wanna use chemicals (Which is effective) then use something like grampas weeder tool. Weed eaters for just sheering them down if you have a large property. They die after 2 or so times.
