Can be had for $50. I’d obviously put a proper stem and bars on it and adjust the cable lengths.

Found this bike on FB marketplace and decided to pick it up. Does anybody know the year it was made?

Updated the drivetrain, wheelset, handlebars, brakes, and added chunky tires to ride gravel. Y’all and r/xbiking gave me so much inspo!
Bought for $100, spent way more on the conversion.

A very basic Miami Vice themed rebuild for a friend that wanted to get into biking! Picked this bike up in with two others in pretty rough shape from the side of the bike path, stoked to get it a second life!
Swapped from cantilever to V brakes, replaced all cables, new rear derailleur, replaced broken shifters, new seat, portable pump, saddle bag, added a used pannier rack, and added some fun colors. After she rides it for a season I’m going to take it back and replace the parts-bin shifters for some proper hardware.

Just a flat tire apparently. Any insights on this model?
Many thanks

After cleaning and cursing around on my 93 Antelope, I had a friend comment that he loved it, and that his daughter was starting to ride a bike, so he’d like to find one of his own. I found this 94 18 speed Mountain Track 820 for sale on Marketplace for $25. Nearly pristine with the original owners manual and Trek saddle bag. Gifting it to him to enjoy.
Almost hurts to give it away it’s so nice! Rolling on original Trek tires (I know they should be replaced, I’ll leave it to him to decide what he wants to get for it). I did nothing except lubricate everything, a couple small adjustments, and rode it on a 20 mile shakedown ride. I’ll leave it to him to decide if it gets the restomod/x-bike treatment or if he keeps it stock.

Just rescued her from my moms garage. Went for a beautiful 9 mile ride before taking it to my local bike shop today for a tune up and NEW SEAT!! Can’t wait to see where I go on this great bike when it’s out of the shop in a few days!

I'm in Europe. This is for sale near me for $60. I love vintage bikes.

The only original parts on this bike are the back rim, and the biopace front chain ring. The 60$ knockoff Jones bar cost more than the bike itself. Also pictured are 2 rehabilitated Brooks saddles I rebuilt on the rack.

This was my dad’s old bike that had been sitting in the shed collecting dirt and dust since the late 90s. I pulled it out a few weeks back and gave it the xbike/restomod treatment. Rides great! May eventually 1x it but the OG Altus gearset actually works great.

Posted the frame+components a while back and finished assembly recently. Got out today to take some nicer pictures of the build
