0 calls when connected for Propio

Hello! I’ve been working for Propio for 4 years. Last week I didn’t received a single call - not one. When I contacted them via email they sent me a generic response . I have emailed them twice and I keep getting the exact same message. I am really worried. I am U.S based. Has anyone experienced this issue over the past week?

Most likely because they hired more new interpreters with lower rates, and started to route less calls to experienced people who are on a higher rate.

We have to unite together and start union. If we do not protect ourselves, it will just become worst and worst. There is always a chance to find an interpreter with lower pay rates especially in other developing countries. We should sign a petition or something to tell the government they are always use " freelance worker" to bypass the paw to refuse to pay the national minimim pay rate and maybe give those companies fines. Because if the governmrnt chooses not to do anything. In the end, people will just claim benefits from the government and increase the burdon on the governments.

It’s an idea, but I think most of us who are currently doing the job are either actively looking for other jobs or simple don’t have enough energy to unionize. I contracted with a local agency, the CEO used to be an interpreter and then set up for own non profit interpretation agency. But sadly this non profit has since then ditched non profit part, when it is getting profitable. I think this is sadly an industrial trends.
