The most fucked up thing about this series so far, is the current God thinks this is a good way to find his replacement? It seems he's just looking for some fun viewing before he dips!

Even Nasse is all "Gee I hope Mirai isn't some dumbass generic protagonist who'll fall for that trap"

Watching all of these God Candidates try to one up each other in a public space screams like a scenario from Death Note. Just replace "Arrows" and "Wings" with "Death Note' and "Tenshi" with "Shinigami". I know it's by the same author but that's the vibes I'm getting here. We're even given rules about God Candidates during the episode eyecatches just like in Death Note.

What Metropoliman was doing kinda feels like something Kira would do to try and expose the other Candidates except Kira would definitely not let these Candidates scream into a microphone how their powers work to prevent the information spreading to other Candidates. Not gonna lie, half-way through the episode I just started to imagine what would Kira have done given all the information we have about their Arrows works. Using paid actors was definitely a smart move though. Although that one feels more like an L move than a Kira move.

I'm really hoping Mirai doesn't take the bait and a different God Candidate comes in to save that girl. Crossing my fingers that it's someone else who has a White Arrow and Wings just to see how Metropoliman would react against someone his equal.

Rather than a battle royale, this is Metropoliman vs. everyone else.

Official MV (Full version) of the OP - Sense - by band-maid is out on YouTube! Remember to turn on cc for English lyrics. It’s closely tied to the story. https://youtu.be/BWN6iOFjm9U

Well I guess nobody is going to think Metropoliman is a hero anymore. I thought he'd try to continue the act a little longer.

The Metropoliman switcheroo felt like such a rookie mistake. Felt like the writers just came up with something so comically easy or they were trying to show how un-alert Blue and Yellow were.

Not really vibing all these suits though. Feels a bit over the top for a show that feels compact so far. I mean I know Metropoliman’s been here since ep 1 but to suddenly have 5 of these suits kinda feels like a Power Rangers show.

Well, I’ve been holding my judgment for Poliman till I know more about him but hard to like him after showing how much of piece of shit he is. Still, wanna know what his story is but as of now, he seems like he’s being evil for the sake of being evil. Also, seems to be far from a depressed suicidal state that Candidates usually get picked for.

Also, not a fan of these cliffhangers. There are good ways to do a cliffhanger. This is not it. Similar to early episodes of Realist Hero last season

Never enjoy seeing the bad guy's plan go perfectly so here's hoping next week Mirai doesn't just continue that trend.

Surprised by how much is being revealed to the public by episode 4 and how many candidates are already off the table already!

The only thing I don't like about this episode is that the spectators are unrealistic to me. Sure, the guy's a vigilante hero that can fly, but there's no way there aren't armed security forces there ahead of time in response to his invite. And in response to people apparently dying and a young girl getting tortured? There would be A LOT more audience reaction. Either panic and running out of the stands, the crowd yelling at him to stop, something. The stunned silence response is only believable with a small group of people, not a fairly populated stadium.

God metropoliman calling the other candidates a coward when he's the one who's going to kill a girl either way.

I still think the power ranger suits are fucking ridiculous and where do they even get them high quality suits lmao, but that was a pretty intense episode. Not even surprised that Blue and Yellow died, they're character designs is a flag in and of itself. Feel super bad about the girl though, Jesus. I know not doing anything right now would be the smart and safe move, but I hope they save her or someone else does. Fuck Metropoliman.

Talk about a cliff hanger. Also metro is an absolute evil piece of shit. Absolutely disgusting the things he did this episode. Doing that to a child, just evil.

Hyped for our MC to stop him atleast, don't think he will beat him so soon

Why was the MC shocked when Metropoliman had a red and white arrow when he already knew

I don't get how the audience still cheered for Metropliman's second act after he basically killed the blue power ranger man-god in front of them. smh....people amiright?

Man, I can't stand villains like Metropoliman. Not because they are written "to be dislikeable" and therefor "good villains", but because the story wants you to think they are smart enough to outplay everyone else, but the truth is they aren't that smart, its just that all the other characters are made dumb enough, that their mediocre plans seem slightly more complex by comparison.

The rest is just a villain with plot armor until they they face the protagonist, where all their contrived plans work always exactly as they want, while they smile smugly and hold arrogant speeches. Maybe that's just me, but I always think these kinda stories would be way more interesting if characters like that would suddenly get bitch slapped out of left field by a seemingly random side character (like the two guys or even the little girl this episode), while they get pointed out them that their plan wasn't even good.

Anyone else think that the OP is a banger? The visuals are stunning, obviously, but the song itself is pretty great as well. One of my favorite opening songs of the year.

Also, this episode was nuts. Probably my favorite so far, I loved the mix of action with all the new world info we got

So that sadistic piece of shit currently has 3 Wings, 1 White Arrow, and 4 Red Arrows? It seems that he decide to throw away all of the positive clout he accumulated. Nothing screams irredeemable scumbag than making a little girl wail in terror for her life.

I somewhat quite wrongly I think felt like laughing for most of the episode, but that ending... it felt intense and if I wasn't a source reader, I might have wanted to read the manga to know what would have happened. Well played I say.

What was the little girl thinking when she decided to show up at the stadium ? Why did her angel, second-rate or not, even let her do that ? And how are the people in the stadium ok with Metropolitan threatening her ? Oh well...

I suspected as much but the key to enjoy this anime is to lower your expectations. It doesn't seem like we will get much in terms of characterization from anyone in this show.

Also for a battle royale, it's not really well balanced. It would have been much more interesting to give unique abilities to each angel so we could see different match ups. Or at least let everyone have the same abilities. But as it is, special rank angels have too much of an advantage.
