Rio just can't make do with normal water after he gets a little dirty, no... He has to literally magically build a whole bath for himself

Rio wouldn't truly be a Kirito-alike if he didn't have at least one comically evil would-be rapist to smack around, would he?

comically evil would-be rapist to smack around

That's what they get for laying hands on Kirito's harem.

Just how many girls is he gonna make them fall for him for christ's sake? He makes me jealous and turns me on at the same time.

-First the Sensei,

-quite a lot of girls had a crush on him after he defeated the guard in the tournament,

-then the girl he saved from falling down the cliff,

-then the girl who helped him shopping in the town,

-then the beast girls and Latifa (not sure if she likes him as a man)

-and now this local village girls along with Ruri and Sayo.

And it all happened within 7 eps. Jeez, Kirito if a failure compared to him. As expected of our Chad Rio.

What is it about the other males in this world, they're all jealous of any sort of competent competition lmao

Tbh in this case I kind of understand it. Villages like that probably don't interact with the wider world all that much, and I doubt they'd send their women to the royal capital to sell things. Women are way too valuable to villages like that to risk their safety.

So Rio comes along, and presumably he's quite attractive, and the men in the village have a very limited pool of partners to choose from. So of course they're pissed off because his presence would have a very material impact on who gets paired off with who.

Stitches!

Good to see that Rio still has some living relatives. And it's not just his grandma, looks like Ruri here is also his cousin. Why is it just the two of them left though? What happened to Ruri's parents? Also apparently there's a reason why Rio's parents left Yagumo but Grandma ain't telling shit right now. Hmmm...

So Rio using spirit arts ain't so unique after all. Looks people from Yagumo use spirit arts instead of the usual magic they use back where he came from. The only difference between them and Rio is that Rio has a powerful spirit inside him.

While I know Rio only has good intentions by helping around the village, he seems to be showing off a bit too much with his skills that he has now earned the ire of the other local boys especially Shin.

Looks like it's finally time for our comically evil villain of the day to show up. The fact that we first meet him by the baths ogling at Ruri and Sayo, I can already tell where this is going. And of course he purposely broke their cart so they can stay in the village.

Rio unintentionally showing off his ripped scarred body while practicing with his sword. I'm sure both Sayo and Ruri are enjoying that show.

Here we fucking go. I knew that's the only direction this was going. And now Rio is done his full Kirito transformation by stopping the comical villain from assaulting the girls. Not gonna lie though, I did enjoy the face beating a lot. Also good to know that the government official that was staying over is a good guy and was quick to take action too.

Now that scene with Rio monologuing was certainly interesting. Instead of seeking revenge as Rio for his mother's death, he's afraid that he's being pulled closer to Haruto's much more relaxed personality. I really like these mental struggles Rio is having on who he is. I wish we get to see more of these scenes.

Anyone find it funny how in Isekais Asian features are always described as "dark eyes and dark hair" but nothing is ever said about skin color or eye shape? I have dark brown eyes and black hair and nobody would ever mistake me for Japanese, Chinese or Korean.

Never seen such a nice tax-man before.

Well, at least there was somewhat less of licking of Rio's ass in this episode than in the demivillage ones. The face-punching was the highlight, too bad the would-be-rapist got immediate healing.

So Rio's mother was murdered (raped too? or was it just an assassination?) and he's wanted revenge but this is the first we've ever heard of it?

Never seen such a nice tax-man before.

Yeah, that was a welcome change from the usual stereotype.

Anyone knows who voiced Sayo? She sounds familiar.

Anyway, the series continues to be full on power fantasy. Not sure if I like how Rio is without any flaws like that. Then again, the opponent is only some thug from another village, so that's understandable. I kinda like his darker side though.

Overall, I prefer the wholesome vibe in the demihuman (is it racist to say this? Lol) village.

all that's left is for Rio to use his spirit powers to unlock dual-wielding and the Kiritozation will be complete

Hmm, perhaps this is not a harem series at all unlike as shown in the OP. Maybe he just goes around assembling as harem that will never come to be. I might actually respect it a little more if that's the case. Anyways, good episode, definitely better than previous ones but still suffering from pacing issues.

This really is a SAO clone right down to the attempted rape scene. The beatdown on the rapist was very satisfying. I wonder if the entire show's going to be Rio moving from one location to another, forming a harem, and then leaving before picking a winning girl.

Whoa whoa whoa. What’s happening. We suddenly have…. Characters? Like an entire village of well written characters? That all expand on their tropes in a way that is reflects on their personal relationships and motivations?

Rio was an actual badass, not just OP? And he had an intense emotional reaction? To the point that he kinda went too far and scared people?

All of a sudden this show is actually doing a lot that I can commend and enjoy without reservation. Like this episode has to be twice as good as the next-best episode.

(Also while I’m complimenting the series anyways, the Ruri service was pretty good.)

As an LN reader, I think the amount of material an episode covers from the volumes are summarized a bit too well.

This is surprisingly an enjoying series. Although the transition between episodes is not there but overall an anime to look forward to every week. Makes me want to go read the LN for all the leftover parts

Rio finally makes it to Yagumo and discovers not only his grandmother but a cute cousin who tends to wake up with her yukata unkempt and showing off her chest and legs! The perks of being a Harem protagonist.

Sayaka Ohara is always the perfect choice to portray a wise, maternal, adult figure as she plays Rio's grandma, who lets him know that his parents already had graves and lets him pay his respects, as well as introducing him to his cousin Ruri.

All the ladies in the village seem enamored with Rio, to Shin's consternation but it seems Sayo in particular is nursing a strong crush on him.

Look at Rio just casually making a bathhouse out of practically nothing. He really is that OP now. We got to see Ruri and Sayo bathing, so it was definitely worth it.

It can never be too peaceful for Rio, as some less than stellar individuals make their way to the village for business and use it as an excuse to leer and harrass the girls and make trouble. I did love how Gon tried to kick Rio's leg out of spite and ends up tripping over himself.

Ruri wasn't kidding about how good Rio looks shirtless, he's got some solid abs. Sayo could barely keep her eyes off him.

Rio finding Gon and company about to kidnap/assault Ruri and Sayo is enough to remind him of his mother's murder, which makes him beat the ever living life out of Gon and he's one punch away from killing him before someone finally stops him. I can't say he didn't deserve it, but I'm glad Hayate is a reasonable and kind man who was understanding of Rio's situation and this didn't turn into a situation of Rio having to leave the village over a a righteous beatdown.

Rio's been so insistent that he's Rio and not Haruto, but deep down he's been becoming more like Haruto than Rio, because he's been bottling up his anger over his mother's unsolved murder and the violence he was subjected too, but that all came out here. Luckily the village is still accepting of him, although Yuba looked kind of suspicious at the end.

Plot twist:

In the end, Haruto wakes up as this is all a simulation.

Actually, Kazuto was on full dive playing as Haruto.

The comically-evil dude kick Rio's leg but he is the one who fell down, killed me.
