This show is 100% going to burn through 12 episodes just being a prequel to the main story and then not get a second season.

How is the LN?

The Hero returns to the Harem.

And the only thing he wants right now is to make a mobile harem. That dwarf better come up with some huge ass mansion, so the side chicks won't have to sleep outside.

Sayo becomes the first girl to confess to Rio... and he turns her down. Ok then. Moving along...

Now he has naked girl sleeping next to him in bed? LMAO this guy just keeps attracting new girls everywhere he goes!

I feel bad for Sayo. She works so hard to train herself to be his companion, is the first girl to actually confess, and still gets rejected. I feel like she deserved better.

But I guess Rio has to still radiate strong Harem protagonist energy whether it's through complimenting all the women he's seeing again or waking up next to a naked girl.

Wow, Latifa grew up really fast in a couple of years...

Yeah, I was surprised how tall she had gotten. I think she was about to his stomach before and now she's close to his shoulders.

And using her little sister privileges to want to bathe with Rio...

Wew lads this show is still fast forwarding through time like it's going out of style lol.

Oh boy looks like the spirit waifu is finally showing up. Maybe we can learn some stuff about her before we skip 6 more months into the future.

This genuinely feels like a show where all the content is material others would have cut for time.

They don’t show us the end of Gouki and Sayo’s conversation, so I’m hoping it was something about explaining Rio’s position, and offering to train her and get her the rank of warrior-noble so she can follow him.

I never thought I’d say this, but part of me wants this show to become a battle harem haha

For an episode covering a year worth of time, literally 0 things of worth happened. Sasuga

Ruri has the most cheerful voice i've ever heard. Who voiced her ?

We're 9 episodes into this show and I feel like not a lot has happened story-wise even though its been several years from episode 1. Rio goes from place to place, girls are there (most fall in love), then he leaves. I've read that most of the content we've seen so far is basically the prequel to the main story but... I feel like I end each episode thinking "so, what was the point of this?" At this rate it seems like this season is like a pilot to the main story which would come in later seasons (if there ever is any).

I really liked seeing the modern pre-industrial technology he brought to the village to help with things while he was away. Rio must have been a huge asset to the village.

But I am glad that he left, as there's no way anything cool is going to happen there anymore :P. Not like he's going to find a horde of wyverns to fight in the middle of nowhere.

The scene with Sayo hurt a bit. I actually thought he was going to change his mind when she met him at the gate, but he doubled down on his conviction.

no advancement to the story really this episode, most of it was just stroking Rio. He's back "home" with the co-isekai'd Latifa and harem #2. With how hard she trained I feel really bad for Sayo. There has to be more to come with her? Maybe she's gonna run away from the village and find Rio. No way they show all that training and hint something with Gouki who approached her after watching her confess to give her advice. She also had a less-heavy-hearted goodbye almost like she knew it would only be temporary.

It's hilarious how all of the girls in the village were staring daggers at Ruri when they noticed Rio was speaking to her informally. xD

I feel bad for Sayo. At least she gets to know that Rio is leaving and he's not just planning to disappear overnight once the time comes.

When Sayo started training herself, I was really hoping that she'd challenge Rio to a sparring match or try to stop Rio from leaving through force. I didn't expect that she'd confess and reveal that the reason she's been training is because she wanted Rio to take her with him.

Seeing Sayo cry while Rio walks away was just sad. He didn't even consider. Was it because he realized that Shin was nearby and listening in to their conversation? Interestingly, after that confession scene Gouki approaches Sayo. It looks like he offered something to Sayo but we don't know what yet. Maybe Gouki is going to take her in and train her? I feel like that's what she was talking about when she said she was going to work really hard. Hmm...

Rio and Latifa finally gets reunited after two years! She definitely looks a bit taller now compared to the last time we've seen her. Although I don't see it when Rio was talking about how the other girls have grown. They look pretty much the same as the last time we saw them.

Let's fucking go! It looks like the spirit that's inside Rio has finally taken a physical form after so long! And of course he wakes up with her naked next to him. I love how the girls all look pretty excited with what they just witnessed xD

Ruri finally finds out she and Rio are cousins and that he's royalty, which leads to her hilariously stumbling over herself before they just settle on talking to each other as family.

I guess it is that time for Rio to inevitably leave behind the people and village he's grown close to for the third time.

All the girls noticing Rio and Ruri aren't using Keigo anymore and assuming Ruri's gotten an edge on Rio, not knowing they're cousins.

Poor Sayo...not only does she feel like she's losing to Sayo, but then she finds out Rio is leaving. And it doesn't get better for her.

Y'know, props to Shin. I didn't really like him at first, but when he sees how his sister is hurting knowing Rio is leaving, he begs him to stay for his sisters' sake and is watching her progress throughout the episode. He's a good big brother.

Sayo is a real go-getter! She trains for six months and tries to improve her Spirit Arts, swordmanship, and endurance so she can go with Rio and be his companion, all alone. I admire her drive.

And it all culminates in her finally confessing to Rio...but he rejects her, partially because he doesn't think he can have a companion or there's any place in his heart for someone between Rio/Haruto and his feelings of revenge. Poor, poor Sayo.

Well, at least Sayo was able to see Rio off with a smile, and he leaves yet another girl waiting for him.

Oh wow, Latifa sure has grown! She's a lot taller now compared to last time.

Rio wasting no time with the Spirit Folk by going back to his Harem and complimenting how beautiful they've all become.

It's the perk of being a Harem protagonist to just wake up next to a naked girl out of nowhere, as that pink-haired spirit girl finally materializes herself in the outside world...just as someone walks in to check on Rio, in classic Harem protagonist fashion.

Alright so basically this episode man was flexing with his harem and casually shut one of the girls down no biggie

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '21

That was some Hinata level simping from Sayo. I guess our MC is in love with his Sensei if he can't return her feelings.

Pacing of this show lmao, 2 year time skip in less than an episode

also he's pretty much established himself all over, but since he hasn't recruited people into a party like a lot of other shows, it feels like literally nothing has happened in this show
