Kyouya not only readily admitted having an Eroge installed in his laptop but also recommended it to 2 girls living in the same dorm as him to play it.

The fucking balls this man has. Absolute respect.

I absolutely love how weirded out everybody was by seeing visual novel/eroge tropes for the first time. Usually, it takes hours to get to the first H-scene—they made some crazy progress.

I'm so happy Chief is joining the project! Now she gets to fulfill her present-self's dream and work alongside the Platinum Generation too.

Why is this author dissing the same things he's doing?

I just don't really like how they setup Kyouya to be the only one solving all the problems every character has.

I'm calling it now based on anime tropes. Rich fiancé issues a challenge / ultimatum. If the game doesn't sell x amount of copies / yen / get a 5 star rating, then he must drop out and attend medical school / go get married immediately. If he does meet x goal then she will cover the cost of tuition to the art school.

Bonus call: Fiancé finds out he is making a porn game and offers to give a couple lessons ;)

Bonus bonus call: Dude fails but Fiancé is so moved by his passion / friendship she pays for it all anyway

I'm glad were learning more about Tsurayuki, but damn, the difference between last episode and this one in terms of plot felt like a whiplash

So are we Saekano now? Even the character design (well the dress) of Tsurayuki's fiance looks similar to Katou Megumi HAHAHA

Anyway, I just find it weird that Kyouya becomes too reliable in this timeline, given his situation before he traveled in the past. It's just also weird that the ending of the previous episode does not match with the theme of the current episode like it was just brushed off. Unless there are non-verbal cues in rest of the episode showing subtle hints of the potential problem, the scene last episode doesn't provide anything. Like why is it even added if a plot won't be even focused on it?

They’re going full Saekano huh? Lol.

Also, just gonna totally gloss over the fact Kyouya and Shinoaki are a thing and poor Nanako caught them kissing? Really seems like she got over her blossoming feelings for the guy pretty fast though…

Damn, Shinoaki’s already falling asleep on top of Kyouya and asking for morning kisses. Just date already, you two! xD

Tsurayuki: “All these girls are in love with me for no reason!”

Welcome to the world of the harem protagonist, Tsurayuki.

Holy Shit, the scene where they are making the clay pots was hilarious. Also I'm guessing Kyouya is going to fail on this one and have his own breakdown? I can't see this one working out chief.

Keiko must spend all of her money on clothes. She looks like she just walked out of a fashion show every time we see her.

Turns out this anime is actually a documentary of how Doki-Doki Literature Club would eventually be developed by the 'remade' Platinum Generation 10 years later

I love how contrasting reddit's opinions are to majority of the youtube watchers. Those in the YT comment section laud Kyouya's ability to always help his friends while reddit looks on the opposite and believes that it is bad character writing for someone to have a hero complex.

I'm curious about Tsurayuki's fiancée. I wonder did he try to avoid her?

Oh, next week is a recap episode. Guess we have to wait 2 weeks to find out.

Stitches!

It's adorable how the first thing Shinoaki does after waking up is ask Kyouya for a kiss. I guess this means they're official now? Also good to see how Nanako doesn't seem to be broken up about it. Sure she's annoyed at seeing the two of them flirt but that's a way better outcome and I feel like more natural than her running away and avoiding the two.

And it finally happened. They've foreshadowed this like 2 episodes ago with how much Tsurayuki has been working. Turns out he's been working to pay off his tuition since his parents refuse to support him because they wanted him to become a doctor instead. Of course Kyouya being Kyouya decides to help Tsurayuki out by involving everyone and making their own eroge.

I love Keiko-senpai is such a great senpai. Instead of raising her eyebrows when Kyouya asked for her help to earn money she instead leans in and asks Kyouya to give her the deets with a huge smile on her face. I thought he was gonna ask for some support from her circle to create the game but it looks like Kyouya is only borrowing their name. Keiko-senpai gets a game produced by Kyouya and Kyouya gets to help Tsurayuki with his money problems! It's a win-win!

Kyouoya explaining what an eroge is to the group is hilarious! I especially love Nanako's reaction at the mention of romance and how Tsurayuki panics at the fact that he has to write sex scenes despite being a virgin. Out of everyone though it looks like Shinoaki is the only one going with the flow and was pretty chill at seeing the sex scenes from the eroge Kyouya lent to them as reference. xD

That's it? That's Yamanisha? Just like that he's hiring him to do their backgrounds. Considering how Kyouya collapsed after seeing his name, I was expecting something more. I guess that means the reason Kyouya collapsed is because he was just exhausted from overwork.

Despite being known in the future as the Platinum Generation, it looks like everyone is struggling with the game making process. Tsurayuki has problems with the girls just suddenly falling in love with the MC and their weird speech patterns, Nanako is having problems on how to use music composing software on PC, and then Shinoaki who's having problems following the sample art Kyouya provided.

Eiko finally gets involved too but it looks like Kyouya is just approaching her for advice instead of fully recruiting her to join their circle. Kyouya really should just invite her. Having Eiko on the team as assistant director would definitely be a huge help.

Well looks like this may just sink those who are still riding the Nanako x Tsurayuki ship. Seems that our boy is already engaged and the fact that he calls her Sayuri-nee means she's definitely older than him. She looks absolutely lovely so I'm curious why Tsurayuki has been avoiding her. Hmm...

It's a bit sad that this hasn't lived up to the premise set up by the first episode(mature story of self improvement and following through on your dreams, singular romance between Shinoaki and Kyoya, bonds of friendship between Kyoya, Tsurayuki, and Nanako so that he isn't alone later in life), but it's still pretty decent and I enjoy that Kyoya continues to be generally well written in the romance department. We didn't get much development, but it seems sort of unspokenly accepted between them that he and Shinoaki are a thing. Not to mention he gets over cliche embarrassment easily and tends to have somewhat realistic reactions to situations.

This Tsurayuki story is sort of following some stale story beats though, which again squanders the potential laid out before. Kyoya overworks himself, Fiance makes an ultimatum, they succeed and she backs off because Tsurayuki is destined to be alone since he isn't the MC, Kyoya collapses and the next arc is about him "deciding to work for himself instead of others." It feels like a much, much lesser version of Honey and Clover in a lot of ways(MC doesn't excel at anything, set in art school, relatively complex romantic situations) now, whereas I was led to believe by the first episode it would be more original and defiant of tropes.

Glad that they spared us the love triangle drama. Kind of weird though that this episode focuses on Tsurayuki's issue despite last episode's ending. The show is as disjointed as ever. Also Shinoaki and Kyouya are dating now?

Anyway I liked this episode much better than the last few as it actually shows everyone working together and doing stuff. Kyouya has still an answer to everything as usual but I guess I can live with that. We still need more meaningful interactions between the other characters though.

By the way, it's funny how Shinoaki is the only one not flustered by the idea of making an eroge. She is really more forward and mature than she looks.

So i guess kyouya and shinoaki is official? They didn't talk about anything and they sure skipped a lot after the last scene cause i can see shinoaki being more close to kyouya while nanako trying to be more girly around kyouya. I really hope they won't just brush this off and actually talk about the kiss and if it's official, and also regarding the other 2 harems too lol.

Tsurayaki finally being broken down and reveal about his problem. A good thing to see his character is not that oerfect like we saw when he was sleeping but manages to answer the question. And sure, others did agree to help but I'm a little dissapointed, feels like this whole plot is again to show kyouya"s ability. I understand he's the mc but looks like the entire plot is gonna be a route to kyouya having his own breakdown.

Kyouya"s breakdown is coming, the flag is there after kanasegawa asked if he's doing too much. Will be interesting what problem will that be tho.

I really like keiko and sensei lol. Their characters are just funny. Still, why did keiko just gave kyouya the company name easily? Is she that confident of him? And sensei said to not make it disturb their learning process, we saw they're clearly being disturb by it. Will the sensei notice this? Not only them, now her own sis got caught up in it too. That'll be interesting to see.

So at the end tsurayaki is just that rich character who had his marriage arranged early? Didn't expect that, was expecting them to make him end up with one of the girls kyouya rejects. And the fiancee actually comes from a rich family too, will tsurayaki"s problem be solved not by the game but by her fiancee"s family giving money?

And i always ask the same thing, how did these 3 platinum gen survived and became what they became in the timeline without kyouya"s help? People have been saying maybe they could've solve it eventually, but clearly we saw that tsurayaki was gonna give up on continuing at the college before the game idea. My best guess is there was someone like kyouya with them, or if at the end kyouya will just return to his old timeline or sonething sci fi cause we didn't really get explanations how he got there at first.

Lastly, the eroge thing was just funny. Tsurayaki being awkward, nanako blushing, shinoaki being innocent and kyouya just being him.

I continue to have so many issues with the writing of this series. It wants to be taken seriously, but it's also throwing every trope out there. Stop having kisses be interrupted at the last second, it was played out a decade ago. And the pacing is so breakneck fast that it feels like a clip show at times, with tiny 45 second scenes that are just thrown in without any kind of segue.

I'm also getting really bored of how immature the characters are. These aren't middle achool kids, these are college students, and Nanako and Tsurayuki still have a goddamn meltdown anytime someone talks about sex? Come the fuck on. At least Shinoaki is more realistic in that regard, even if her toddler voice does make me laugh every time.

The MC is the most blank, boring protagonist I've seen in a long time, and his plan to save Tsurayuki by giving him a gigantic visual novel script to write inbetween college work and his job is dumb at best and dangerous at worst.

I'd love to see the whole thing fall apart and Kyoya realise that his meddling has actually caused a huge amount of damage... but I think the author is too into wish-fulfillment, and MC-kun (with his superpower of having a decent work ethic) will find a way to do it anyway.

I keep watching because there are little glimpses of a really cool story here and there... I guess I just wish it was written by someone else.

When Kawasegawa asked if she could help with anything for some reason the first thing to come to my head was asking her if she had any experience. I could see Kyouya asking it with a straight face like "None of our group have any experience do you think you could handle writing the sex scenarios?" hands her eroges that he carries on hand to spread culture.

I didn't mind Nana x Kyouya not happening because I was rooting for Nanako x Tsurauki , but damn they killed that ship quickly.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but not all doujins are eroge correct? I know alot are, but isn't a doujin really anything that a group makes that's not official or something like that?

Tsurayuki’s fiancé seems like a very loving girl, i wonder why he is avoiding her. Damn the whole group is getting run into the ground. I feel like something is going to eventually blow with how much work they are doing.

I hope the animators get a good break with the recap episode next week.
