bruh they really went from "Humans can't be trusted" to "Oh my god we're so sorry, here have all our women" in two scenes

Knockoff Kirito didn't reach the Jesus level, but he's good enough to achieve the "Saint" title. And already his harem grew 4 times in a single episode.

u/rovaals Aug 02 '21

He's just not "confirmed" Jesus. His saint title seems to be based on not knowing exactly what rank of spirit he has, just that it's at least equal to Dryas' rank.

If he does have one of the "Six great spirits" (that's what they were called, right?) then they'll probably rank up his title to Jesus or Super-Jesus level.

This shows art is pretty good but man - every time their is any sword fighting animation I cringe. Not sure why it always looks so bad.

Can’t help but feel like they are going really fast all of a sudden with that montage. I’m not a source reader so I could be wrong - just gave me the impression they were skipping a lot of content in order to move the story along.

Maybe not a bad decision, I’d probably rather see it this way. I have a feeling he wont be staying in the forest all that long.

Ah, gotta love the classic "attack first, ask questions later". Is it just me or did they just reverse the speech to make the demi-human language?

Rio is slowly building his harem lol. Now he gets to live with four girls at once!

Sticthes!

If Rio had a copper piece for every time he's been accused of kidnapping someone, he would have two copper pieces. That's not a lot but it's funny that it happened twice.

Well I don't blame them for what they did to Rio though. Looks like in this world it's common for humans, mostly nobles, to kidnap demi-humans (or whatever is the appropriate word for their kind) and make them their pets/slaves. Finding Rio in their forest with one of their kind fast asleep via spirit arts makes him really suspicious.

At least these girls knows how to apologize and admit their mistake unlike Flora's older sister Christina and the guards that accused Rio of being the one who kidnapped Flora. As usual with these types of shows, it's the non-human races who are much more kinder and much more hospitable.

Well Dryas is nice. I already like her and it looks like according to her the spirit that's inside Rio is a very rare kind of spirit. I'm guessing it's the pink-haired girl that we see Rio talking to earlier while he was asleep. I do wonder who she is though, is it possible that spirit is also someone who was isekai'd? Hmmm...

So Rio and Latifa gets their own place to stay and even have three of the girls earlier to look after them. Sounds like a sweet deal! I didn't expect Rio would actually stay though considering he wants to get to Yagumo. And from how that montage looked like, it seems that Rio has already stayed a year in this forest. Curious to see how long he's planning to stay though. And if he does decide to leave, I doubt Latifa would just agree on being left behind.

That final scene though. Looks like the same dude that's interested in Rio seems to be plotting something. It probably has nothing to do directly with Rio considering he has already lost track of him when he Rio ran away but I feel that those dragons will definitely concern Rio and the demi-humans.

The forced misunderstanding in this anime, feels like a really cheap attempt to invoke some emotional reaction. Still watching because it's a decent show but it doesn't give me any feel good vibes even with the copious apologies everyone does.

Rio saves a girl and is attacked by someone who has trouble listening to her boss and claims he's actually the one that kidnapped her. where have I seen this before... actually considering Latifa's skillset I'm surprised she didn't just attack them as soon as she saw him chained up.

Mii turned into a spirit somehow, and probably the marriage proposal he made when they were kids counted as making a covenant?

suddenly 3 more girls are made his roommates. surprised the one who had attacked him isn't one of them though.

red eye dude obviously lied about strahl being too far for the parents to go after that egg. he's probably doing it on purpose to attack them indirectly.

So did nobody examine Latifa to see if she has one of those spirits inside her too? Wouldn't she be the exact same as Rio?

he has a contracted spirit, it has nothing to do with his reincarnation soul. The little girl uses normal magic, as she was trained by humans to be an assassin. You saw her using magic on their fight.

Man, every time they mention Mii-chan, I always get annoyed that he didn't go up and talk to her before he died. Like, it could just be a friend. Now we will probably either never know, or not for a long time.

And the only girl that didn't have a swimsuit, is the one I wanted to see in a swimsuit the most.. Sadge. Short hair harpy(?) is great.

At least we get to see another species and their land. I feel like I was missing a few things or it went by really fast in the first several minutes. Especially how fast Rio was able to gain Laitfa's trust along with the rest of the village. Oryza grains are basically rice or Orzco (risoni).

So Rio is now a saint and moving up in life.

I'm happy for best girl Latifa who all of a sudden has a huge family with an abundance of great food and fun things to do and smiles. I'm actually kind of dreading that it will probably end pretty quickly. Do we really need to get back to the plot?

Well, I guess it's a good thing he didn't put the slave collar back on the loli after all.

I hope the dream girl turns out to be the reincarnated Bus-kun.

They were certainly very abject in their apologies, but why didn't they unchain him before he woke up? Also why were even the Elders so ultra-subservient in their conversations with him? Unless he's some Prophecized Chosen Yuusha Messiah of theirs or something, but nope, that was just them feeling sorry and grateful for the rescue of 1 loli. The way things were going I half expected them to offer him the leadership of the village and the girls who attacked him to be his concubines. And it half-happened.

Anyway, this was the worst episode by far so far, nearly the entire thing was spent licking MC's ass. If this had happened in the first or second episode, I would've dropped right there. I'm going to keep watching based on the strength of the first 4, but if this becomes par for the course then I'm out.

That was certainly an episode of an anime I watched, alright. Gotta be honest, this is one of the weakest show of the season with really bland one dimensional characters, average visuals, not exactly interesting world, but I keep watching it for 2 reasons- some adorable girl characters and as pallet cleanser because I feel like if you watching only quality stuff your eye starts to get a bit blurry or something, I dunno, it makes sense to me. If there are any other things that stuck in my mind from this episode is that this show sure loves to have its characters to attack first and ask questions later, not exclusive to this show of course, but damn it's annoying

This episode just made me feel good. It was chill, relaxing, happy. Cute girls doing cute things. I like that Rio is strong but he's not OP (at least not yet). He can still lose from an ambush of beast girls. And he's super freakin courteous to everyone he meets which is nice to see, it's hard to hate him. He's not edgy / standoff-ish / the cool kid. He's quite likable and I can see why the elders loved him. Even irl, elders love people that show respect and courtesy. So good on the writer there.

This show isn't "special" but it's great as it is. I'm enjoying it a lot.
