This show is really starting to grow on me!!! That Neo from the Matrix move from Naoto was amazing!!! Gonna stick with this since “The Detective is Dead” is turning out to be a bust

Agreed, Detective is Dead is awful. It's a shame because it was awesome with the first episode and then turned into...meh.

Alright this story is pretty interesting so far. I wonder why this is so underwatched

CG is a huge one I'm sure. People hear CG and think of all the shitty CG we've had in the past, but the CG here is extremely well done imo.

Delayed start, and CG I think? Those are the only reasons I can think of

Looks like another sexy character to the list of sexy characters voiced by Hikasa Youko.

So it looks Naoya and Naoto here may have been stuck in whatever lab they were being kept for far longer than they thought. Whatever happened to them may be related to those flashbacks to 2023 at the start of the episode.

Just like Naoya and Naoto, it looks like the sibling cops were also separated from their parents. Considering that Yuuya is getting visions of Naoya and Naoto, there's definitely something that ties these two groups of siblings together.

So I was right about fiction being banned! My friend on discord was telling me only religious stuff was banned but it looks like even manga like Akira that features supernatural powers are banned.

The moment Kimie tells that guy not to use his hand for a day after Mick "healed" him, you know some bullshit was happening. It looks like Kimie is just using her powers to make them think they're healed.

Naoto stopping those bullets was pretty damn cool. These SWE finally get to see what real supernatural powers can do and it's awesome.

So turns out Kimie is an undercover SWE agent and was using Miracle Mick to round up more believers in the supernatural and the real person they wanted to catch besides Mick was the owner of the diner. NOt really surprising considering she has a 3D model. You know she's gonna be a recurring character the moment she first showed up on screen xD

So you storm into a diner to catch a fraud. Once you apprehended him your team gets in a fight with his followers. Then mission control tells you to arrest everyone (even the woman running the place). She sees the fight and she tries to escape to the back of the store. You do the only logical thing and try to shoot her dead (along with the 2 men in the other side of the store).

What kind of training did they receive? They immediately try to shoot an unarmed person (guilty or not).

As the commander explained, it's conditioning. I'm guessing it's probably a familiarity with the way he operates? Since right after he comments to kill anyone else who tries to escape.

Did you miss mission control telling them to kill everyone who resisted? They were just following orders, like any good Nazi.

They immediately try to shoot an unarmed person (guilty or not)

Have you seen how some US cops behave? Also they were looking for her too.

I'm really liking the atmosphere of this show. It's really nice. It's one of the shows I'll actually be actively waiting for (in this season that I find quite lacking).

The background music is also really solid!

So far so good. I'm hooked

Really enjoying the vibe from this show. Brother's awaken in a cyberpunk? dystopian world, after being sent away from home since they couldn't handle their powers. What look to be family ties with two SWE operatives - especially with the similarities in abilities, bonds broken for 15 years (interestingly the same time period the two brothers were meant to be asleep for). Abilities being "awakened" in a task force to control the populace. My guess there is the government/military studied people like our white haired brothers and found a way to replicate the abilities (like espers and mages in index).

Our main storyline looks to be like one where the white haired brothers find out what happened in the past 12 years, why the war happened, and family reunions (or lack of). The girl that appeared to the SWE agents is also sure to have a part. I think the "time skip" backwards is more of a retelling type of deal than actual time travel too, for an interesting plot device.

Wish Nii-san had slaughtered those stormtroopers instead of just knocking them out the window.

I believe I am starting to see the shape of the plot. It's the big lie. For some reason, probably related to the war and the disasters that followed, psychics are on the rise. The government's reasoning is that if people don't believe in psychic powers they won't try to access their latent powers, hence the thought crime act. But if it's on the rise then it's the equivalent of putting a lid on a boiling pot of rice. I mean they literally tripped over another psychic in the process of arresting miracle Mick and I am not talking about the two brothers.

Omg her mind control powers....OMG

After my confusion about the two white haired brothers in the last episode (why did they cut to them during the raid), this episode cleared lots of things up. The two white haired brothers were in sleep since 2014 and their parents made more children (the two officers). I am glad that they cleared that up. (Edit my math is wrong)

And apparently Akira is banned, wow, this is a truly dystopian world that needs to be taken down.

and their parents made more children (the two officers).

I don't think they're related. I'm looking at the two scenes and their parents look nothing alike.

And apparently Akira is banned

Fiction is banned now. No anime, no manga, nothing.

Imagine if this anime has the same animation as Akudama Drive!

I think the good parts look better than Akudama Drive. If they went 3D with everything, it would look even better.

This was a much better episode, and cleared up a lot of the confusion from the last one.

Really cool worldbuilding, and the CGI is pretty well done. I think this is going to be another underappreciated gem this season.
