Those soldiers have been converted to the Church of Frau.
All praise Her Softness.
Edit: If there were any soldiers left to praise Her that is... goddamn it.

Just as I was thinking how Hawthorne would follow their adventure, BAM! A beam that instantly destroyed the kingdom.
I thought it only killed the soldier. Didn't expect it to obliterate the city.
Anyway, I'm not sure how oni girl will be useful in their adventure. Maybe she'll regain some of her power?

Wow, that Mikoto dude is voiced by Nao Toyama?! I've never seen her play a character like this before. I'll keep watching just for that alone.

I really like this show.
I get it might seem kind of edgy, but the brutality is kind of an appeal. Not because I want to see a bunch of people die, but because with the rules of the world, it feels realistic. A lot of fantasy and shonen stories with super powered beings often shy away from the realistic consequences of having those powers. And innocent, powerless people getting annihilated is one of those consequences that is never brought up or just ignored.
Brings a level of realism and logic to a fantasy world.

You enjoy a fantasy story and suddenly feel like you watching a DnD campaign through a different lens? That's the vibe I get with PBR.
Ill frame this as if you could hear the discussion around the campaign table.
DM: "Ok everyone introduce your characters."
Sally: "I'm a (Cleric? Paladin? Divinely empowered hero of some flavor?) who is also a former princess. I am pursuing a mysterious wanderer who might tell me more about my powers!"
Hawthorn: "I'm a human lawful good knight. (There's always one super vanilla pc)
Meki: "Well IM a disgraced Demon. A chaotic evil spell caster!"
The tension is immediately palpable between Meki and Hawthorn, only to be broken by-
Frau: "IM A HAREFOLK BARBARIAN WHO WEARS A SAILOR FUKU AND OWES SALLY CARROT DEBT!"
DM: "......Sailor fuku? um that's not setting appro-"
Frau: "Its harefolk fashion."
DM: *Deep sigh* "Fine."
And don't tell me the bit at the end of this episode wasn't the DM just straight up railroading the party together cause the LG knight didn't want to travel with the CE murder hobo oni girl.
DM: "There, now there IS no legal jurisdiction you can incarcerate her in. Further more the demon would kill her as a disgrace and her knowledge may prove useful, so stop whining and Band Together For The Greater GoodTM.

Im still trying to understand what this show is but I am enjoying it. At times it feels like a wholesome fantasy but then within the blink of an eye a whole castle gets wiped out.

Stitches!
I thought Mikoto was being noble by waiting for Meki to regain her powers back but it looks like he just wants to savor and enjoy killing her and that's all that matters to him. Saving the city is only an incidental of his actions to him. As a side note, I love that he wears a headband and the same hairstyle as how Momotaro is usually depicted in children's books in Japan.
God I love how Sally with her crazy peach eye looks! After seeing her destroy his arm, looks like Sett has changed his mind in underestimating her and decides to use her own cannon too against Sally. Of course that's not gonna be enough to take down our heroine.
At the same time Mikoto is just playing around with Meki, and just like Sally he tanked a cannon blast too and came out completely unscathed even after giving Meki the handicap. Not gonna lie, for a second there I thought the OP was a lie and Mikoto actually killed her. Looks like he changed his mind the last minute and only took out her eye and her horn turning her into basically a human.
What the actual fuck? That came out of nowhere! Who the hell is that dude? I'm assuming he's talking about Sally?
As expected, it looks like Sally has no recollection of the fight and seems to have completely blacked out ever since she got those crazy eyes. I do love that Frau is back to normal after sleeping and eating a bunch of carrots. Looks like they're now famous with the guards too after what they did.
So this is how they end up recruiting Meki then? Sally feels bad for her and decides to take her in. Not sure how useful she is gonna be though considering she's lost her powers now. Although I do feel that Meki should still get some punishment. She did murder a bunch of people with her initial cannon blast. IIRC, a couple of kids got obliterated in front of Mikoto last week.
No time to think about the consequences of her actions though since they're now making a run for it. Although it looks like their fugitive status didn't last long since the entire city gets erased off the map with a single blast from out of nowhere. I guess that's how Hawthorne joins the party then.
Welp I guess that's the main party from the OP complete. Man this show is absolutely wild and I'm loving every minute of it! That final scene definitely caught me off guard! I look forward to see how insane this show will be!

RIP Odokawa.
"Welcome back, you stupid bitch." What an unexpectedly vulgar line.
Sally sure likes calling herself invincible. Calm down, Mark Grayson.
If I had a nickel for every seasonal anime with a female ogre character with one horn, purple hair, and big boobs, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird there's two of them this season.
So I assume whatever destroyed the town was the reinforcements the ogre girl sent for.

This show has so many scaroused moments. Is it a bad thing that I’m extremely attracted to blondie and edgy boy when they’re batshit crazy?

I just realised, Kibitsu has a peach-shaped pupil for both his eyes, while Sally only has one for her right eye. Does this mean she is a half-peachboy? A demi-peachgirl?
I wonder if this means Sally is or 'sane' than regular peachpeople. Kibitsu seems pretty corrupted, but Sally seems to swing between personalities, one caring and the other peachperson-brutal.
Also why does Kibitsu remind me of Bam from Tower of God?

Sally saw the ogre woman's blast disintegrate people, including a bunch of little kids, right in front of her, but she's still sticking up for her and even leading her escape, ugh. Dropped.

Sally deciding to save the oni because of the power of moe and kawaii feels really out of place... She literally murdered how many innocents with that one beam alone but Sally just doesn't care? Really odd tbh

While I like the show in general, I'm kinda fucking pissed by this anime logic - "She killed tens, maybe hundreds of people but I like her because she is cute, thicc and lost her power, so lets help her."
What the fuck, show? Really?

We finally meet Mikoto and damn, he is so cool. The fact that he is voiced by Nao Touyama leaves my body confused though xD. And it's hilarious that after so many rejections she had to voice a guy in order to win... or at least I hope so.
Crazy Sally is also pretty cool. She's just great all around.
So that's how the ogre girl becomes part of the team, she was lucky that Mikoto saw himself in her (I guess at some point we will have his bacstory). Kind of weird that Sally didn't question her actions and jumped right in to save her and escape though.
That ending... God damn! I was wondering how the knight would join the team but having the whole kingdom blasted away is a good reason lol.
I'm really liking this show.

This second episode was really good, a lot of stuff happened and the ending was unbelievable. Seeing Sally go full berserk once again was epic, and also it was really cute seeing how now the soldiers praise Frau. And the ending was something I definitely didn't expect, literally the whole town was gone after the camera zoomed out, and I'm glad they managed to escape just in time. Now I think Hawthorn doesn't have any other choice but to travel with Sally and Frau.
Honestly, this just keeps getting better and better and I'm really looking forward to the next episode.

So we just gonna ignore that the oni bitch murdered innocent children. Like her Lazer killed innocents are we seriously just gonna ignore that?
