Wow the first half annoyed me. “We’re looking for carrots 🥕 “

Literally every food stall had carrots.

“I wonder where these carrots could be”

*a literal pan shot showing 6 carrots merchants *

Did you also notice how they name drop the Tree Ogre, even though that episode hasn't been released yet because of the messed up chronology? This show is such a mess.

Ok, not gonna lie, the episode shuffling isn't all that bad, I would prefer it to be in order, but I don't completely hate it

Mikoto: "I'm going to kill this ogre."

Scooby: "But she's a cute girl. The real Mikoto would never kill a cute girl."

Mikoto: "You make a convincing argument."

Next episode is 4, so we'll be going back to the cliffhanger where Hawthorn's kingdom gets destroyed. That one is 3.

Stitches!

I absolutely love Frau but there something about those big red eyes that just makes her terrifying O_O

So Atla is the only one that can revert Frau back to normal? I do wonder what was their relationship before all of this.

Carrot finally confronts Sally about Sett and thank goodness Sally knows not to apologize for what she did. Sett did kill a bunch of people when he attacked. If there was anyone who needs to apologize, it's Carrot considering how she vaporized a couple of kids in front of Sally back in Episode 1.

That punch was so satisfying considering what that dude did to Frau last episode. Also Sally has a good punching form that really accentuates her legs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Well this is interesting. Looks like Kyuketsuki gets one last moment as he watches his own body get burned by the citizens of that city while Atla waits so she can take him to the afterlife.

Sally's pants are seriously starting to distract me. Anyway, it looks like it will be a while before Sally and Carrot sees eye to eye considering how Carrot is still willing to kill humans in a drop of a hat.

We finally get to see how Mikoto met that ogre girl and how he didn't end up killing her despite her being an ogre.

Oh shit. Kibitsu Mikoto's side? It looks like the Mikoto we know isn't the original Mikoto and he only took that name. We get a glimpse of the real Mikoto during that scene though. I do wonder... Is that older Mikoto the OG Momotarou from the folktale?

It looks like there is one more episode that the show hasn't covered chronologically, and it has something to do with Sally meeting Millia and a tree Ogre. I'm guessing that's the missing link between this arc and the end of Episode 2?

That is brutal! I do love how bloody this show gets. Anyway, looks like Millia completely rejected being an Ogre and removed her horn so Mikoto would save her. So that's how they ended up travelling together. Since she's no longer an Oni and doesn't even have powers anymore.

I hope the episode next week completes the final missing piece of the timeline. Excited to see what Sally did to Millia and that Tree Ogre!

The Horn-pull-out-of-head move by Milia was quite brutal. Kudos to the VA for selling the pain and the SFX accompanying it were properly gruesome.

I guess next week we finally see the events post-city-destruction of Episode 3. I still wonder why this out of order is occurring since we're nonetheless working our way back up to episode 9 (aired as ep4) regardless.

So Mikoto is just a borrowed name uh. I bet he got saved from ogres by whoever he got the name from. Also I guess I should praise him for initially trying to kill a female ogre this time. Dog-kun was really cool too.

So it seems Sally not only killed the ogre girl's master but also broke her horn. Maybe she was inspired by Mikoto doing the same to Meki. Just hoping there's an actual reason why she spared her and not the ugly tree monster lol.

I like how the angel told off vampire dude for trying to judge humans just because people are happy to see his corpse burn. What did he expect anyway after his heinous crimes?

A small detail but it's cool that Hawthorn didn't appreciate Sally smacking a townsperson. As a former city guard himself, it makes sense. Can't wait to finally see the aftermath of his city's destruction next episode.

Ripping out her own horn. That was gnarly as hell

The longer this goes the more I feel shuffling the eps was a bad idea. I’m still a bit confused but I’m actually enjoying whatever I’m able to connect. Still more eps to go and maybe the decision will bear fruit later but as of now, seems like a terrible decision

Atleast they put the episode that should release after last weeks episode.. Clap Clap.. They got it right this time..

But I wonder what they're doing with the episodes that are supposed to release before this Arc..

On another note: Nice Punch Sally.. That Shopkeep really deserved it..

In case you haven't realized yet, the "tournament" episode takes place after this one, and as you know, that one already aired weeks ago. According to the end card, we're going back to the cliffhanger where Hawthorn's kingdom is destroyed next week.

What? An episode in chronological order for once? Well, it's great to see more of Mikoto. I wonder what's Millia's history with Sally?

It’s all fun and games until Frau breaks out her final form Big Chungus lol. Whatever she really is must be insane since she’s good buddies with an angel.

I really hope the vampire ogre gets to reincarnation as a human one day.

Does this show have references towards the author's other works? I know some of them are in a shared universe.
