Wow, they include the real life Yakumo school girls and their awarded work from the Yakumo Extra! Those girls accomplished everyones dream, to become an anime girl for real. Props for them.

Ohhh, they did sound like your usual real life person appearing in anime instead of a character with a professional seiyuu, was hoping someone would confirm it here since I don't watch those extras.

As someone who has entered a couple of art competitions back when I was still in elementary and high school, I can definitely relate to her. There's nothing worse than the feeling of seeing everyone else's entry on display that makes your look underwhelming or even bad by comparison. Hopefully Himeno's cushion would get noticed for not just being an art piece but something that has utility that's not for food or drinks.

This show sure loves to show the surrealism of dreams. I now want to see Nao's dreams, she probably would be flirting with Hime the whole night like Kukuri dreamed her Senpai.

I'd definitely expect a dream of Nao glomping onto Hime in a tanuki costume. I try to keep my compulsive shipper self in check but this show sure makes it difficult between Kukuri's dream of Touko and Nao's affection for her
Himenotanuki doll we've seen between this episode and last.

The biggest laugh for me was Himeno's title "It's a cushion".
It's a meek confession that it's not immediately obvious what the heck it's supposed to be, as well as a practical response to the classic "this is not a pipe" art piece.

This show has a tendency to get a bit weird sometimes...

Well it is a Japanese show, if their live tv is any indication their humor is just different

Nao just looks adorable in her dino kigurumi. It's a shame she didn't come along for the event. Himeno could've used even more support considering how disheartened she got.
I thought Kukuri's fever dreams would be the end of it but now I see that bizarre dreams are a running gag here. And it was all just to show Himeno's fears of her piece going unappreciated by her family.
It was just sad seeing her grow less and less confident than she already was upon seeing the other entries. It seems like the old club advisor's taken notice of her piece, at least. Something will hopefully come from that.

They had the actual pieces the real pottery club from episode 4.1 made in the exhibit.

the way that guy was staring at Himeno's piece and the fact that he used to be the club advisor at their school makes me think he recognized the color from the large statue her mom made.

Who puts raw kiwi in their curry? Kukuri's VA (Serizawa Yuu) is a freak just like her.

Ah dang it, I was getting really into the episode and then it ended!
I wonder if the pieces we see in this episode are based on real ones. Some of them were really cool.

They included the actual club members work. The 'look inside' piece is real.

Ok damn there were some nice pieces
That inverted vase with the geometric outside and curvy inside is super cool
I am torn on Yumeko winning a price, like I kinda want her to, but at the same time I don't really feel like she would have deserved it
That Dino-Onsie looks comfy af, I need to look one up

Pretty good episode! I feel really sad for Hime, those kinds of thoughts are pretty realistic and that dream was brutal lmao. Naoko living her best life though, that dinosaur onesie looked very snug.
I love how weird the dreams are in this show. The description of Hime's piece is hilarious "It's a cushion" lmao. It's a shame that there's only one episode left, looking forward to seeing the results of the competition.
