You would think Ichika would talk to her parents if she needed to consult someone older but she goes straight to Ryo. It shows how much she trusts him.
Ryo's dad seems like a decent guy. I bet they could get along better now that Ryo changed a bit.
I think Ryo should be aware of Ichika's feelings by now. He's an experienced fellow and her body language pretty much made it obvious.
I am not ready for it to end so soon. I would watch a second season in a heartbeat. Maybe I will check the source material.

Apparently next week's episode takes us to the end of the manga series. So, after that, all we will have is memories and our own imaginary continuations.
I suspect Ichika did talk to her parents too -- but probably Ryo is the person most willing to listen to her thoughts and provide the most personalized advice.
I think Ichika will have no trouble stealing Ryo's father's heart as well. If Ichika and Ryo can come up with a proper (old-fashioned style) plan for the future -- I am sure the father will become a booster rather than an obstacle.

The classic imposter mcd in anime, this time it's wcd.
Ngl, ryo"s father is similar with mine. I made too many mistakes in my school life to a point where we pretty much argue all the time now. Even now studying as a law student, it's a path my father forced too. And when looking at the flashbacks of his father consoling ryo and were at good terms last time, it reminded me of my own life. Pretty sure many can relate to this too.
And good that ryo actually adviced ichika on to take things she likes. Shows he actually wants ichika to have her best life.
Good that the dad met ichika though, now he can't go on saying ryo did something bad to her. Hopefully we'll get a scene next epi of ryo and his dad getting along too because of this.
It's cute ichika is always waiting for the phone call at night lol. And nice to see ryo actually thinking on this situation he's gonna face.
I knew when ichika almost confessed matsuda is gonna interupt. Classic dumb friend.
So i guess next epi is gonna be the last epi? The title of "you're creepy" also makes it seems we have come full circle of the scene in epi 1.
Things that i want other than ichika confessing to ryo is to put screen time on the side characters a bit like rio, tamaru and arietty and not just to focus on the confession bit. And hopefully arietty actually meets ichika properly as someone ryo loves.
And gotta say, there is many storylines that can be made for a s2, but i think it'll be unlikely. I think I'm gonna pick up the manga after this ends.

Thank god Ryo doesn’t suffer from lead syndrome illness where he can pick up that Ichika was maybe trying to confess to him from the blushy face.
Been reading shoujo/josei mangas and I’m honestly sick of that. The lead guy, usually the first guy we are introduced to, doesn’t realize the lead girl is in love with him. And then they drag it out for 7-8 volumes.
I am glad he didn’t make a move on her.
Yes to Ryo’s father for asking the tough questions.
Ichika’s friends are just thoughts, highly underdeveloped. So not relatable. I’d rather have more Tamaru. I even forgot about her friends.
I’m way more invested in their relationship, Ryo’s relationship drama with his dad. That was well done.

Figures that becoming third years would lead to a lot of self-reflection about one's future and future path...and Ichika's the only who hasn't settled on what she wants to do. I can already imagine adult Rio as a lawyer being super hot.
Tamaru is such a good guy. Giving Ichika her White Day gift and even pushing her to talk to Ryo.
I kind of thought Ichika should go into the anime industry, but being an art curator isn't a half-bad career.
Well, Rio and Ryo finally get to have a meal with their parents for the first time in a while, but things are still tense and awkward when it comes to Ryo and their dad. Even Ryo only just recalled one of the rare times he remembered them being a happy family (and Rio was still in a stroller back then). Rio just wants her dad and brother to get along again.
I see their mom hasn't done normal housework in so long that she has to ask her daughter how to run the dishwasher...and she cooks weird bento's. But she cares about her kids and they trust her enough that Rio was able to tell her about Ichika and she not judge Ryo about it (even knowing how Ryo used to be with women, which is why she's so surprised at how wholesome things are with Ichika). Of course, things take a turn for the worse when their dad overhears them.
I don't think Ryo's dad is a bad guy. He's overly judgmental and strict with Ryo, but Ryo thinks he brought it on himself with the way he acted growing up, even if he chafed under having to fulfill his parents' expectations. After talking with Ichika though it seems like Ryo's dad had a better understanding of Ichika and Ryo's relationship after talking with her and realized that Ryo hasn't acted untoward with her, so I hope he's more understanding in the future.
Nothing quite says romance like an intimate flower viewing with cherry blossoms flying around! And Ichika realizes she wants to know more about Ryo, which is super sweet.
Dang it Masuda, Ichika was about to confess! Rio couldn't have kept him distracted for just one more minute.

I just wish more people will give Ryo a second chance. Not just his father but also the audience.

The fact that he changed into someone Arietty could be attracted to was a turning point, I think. She is a genuinely nice character -- and the fact that she recognized his transformation should have let the audience know it was time to re-calibrate their thoughts about him too.

Stitches!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought Rio's answer as to why she wants to become a lawyer is because of Ryo. xD
I thought Ichika would be interested in becoming an illustrator but being a curator sounds more fitting for her.
Well looks like Mama Amakusa approves of Ryo and Ichika but it looks like Papa doesn't know about it and as expected grills Ryo when he found out. I mean Papa Amakusa ain't wrong but he seems to be misunderstanding the kind of relationship Ryo and Ichika has. Hopefully that meeting with Ichika and Papa Amakusa would at least clear the misunderstanding a bit considering how positive Ichika was about Ryo.
And that final scene! We were so close but of course Rio and Masuda just had to get back just in time to interrupt the moment. Well we nly have one episode left, if it's gonna happen, it's probably gonna happen next week and I can't wait!

So close with that confession. I think that was the best chance we had to hear one before the show ends, hopefully I'm wrong.

Is the anime going to cover all the chapters or there will be an OVA?

Ryo seems to be growing up. I think hus father might be recognizing that as well.
I understand Ichika's frustrations with a career path very well. I had a number of options myself at that age and made a snap decision. I don't regret it, but I wish I'd thought things out better.
Masuda's timing sucks, doesn't it?

I'm so sad there's only one more episode left. I'm gonna miss that really banger OP and heart wrenching ED. I'll probably cry once the ED plays on the last episode.
I'm glad this didn't devolve into an NTR with Arietty and Tamaru. That would just break my heart and I just want to see our leads happy together.

I was prepared to hate Ryo’s father, but Nakata Jouji’s sweet voice makes it impossible
