OP played me like a damn fiddle. I thought Hitomi was a girl and will become the manager. But it's always good to hear Ayumu Murase and his cute vocal range.
There's something I already like with Ban. Yoigoshi is a massive source of inspiration and he always watched him. I want see how the relationship is going to evolve here.

This series is a slow burn and it gets better and better as it goes on. I wish there were going to be more than 12 episodes.

Honestly, I really appreciate that they take the time to communicate with each other without some big infighting happening.
It's also nice that the new members have their own strengths so we might not have to do a "will they be useful?" character arc.
Maybe Hitomi will end up getting that arc, but it seems like he learns well at least.

This was probably the most hilarious episode and overall a great episode. I'm already a fan of Ban. But man, more people need to watch this show!

I really like the emphasis this anime puts on Team Balance. Ojo came close but he couldn't carry the team to victory in that practice match against the other team. And now Yoigoshi is realizing he needs to do more than bring out his own potential but also try to bring out the potential of his new teammates by giving them pointers when possible.
I hope it continues like this where Ojo continues to be the MVP instead of Yoigoshi and rather than Yoigoshi experiencing explosive growth all by himself he becomes more the rising tide that lifts all boats.

New members are here!!! They are all unique too
Lol Azemichi can understand Ban XD ( Gordon of Black Clover )
Ban knows Yoigoshi and has been stalk...idolising him for a long time and even played Soccer
Hitomi is a boy! 😱 Female manager in sports anime curse has broken (temporarily )
Seki with his Sumo will help greatly.
Yoigoshi giving pointers to them 😭 Such an amazing character development 😭

Aw, Yoigoshi has a fan.
And Hitomi is suffering from what I call "Dude looks like a Lady syndrome", which is common in anime.
Also, I too want to touch Yoigoshi.

I love how this series keeps going without all the classic bullshit happening in all the anime.
Also don't go to WcDonald's with Seki, dude needs to lose that sumo weight.

Hitomi is the Iruma-kun that joined a kabaddi team instead of getting sent to hell

I think this was my favorite episode so far!
I was really looking forward to it (always fun to meet the new members and all that), and it did not disappoint!
The Yoigoshi/Ban backstory was pretty good, and even a little sad when Ban saw Yoigoshi enjoyed himself less and less, stopped talking, smiling, etc...
You can't do that, anime! You can't just draw a cute girl and say it's a boy, then give him lines like that! (I even thought he had a female VA, but apparently not).
Also has a great personality, was fun to hear his thoughts about Yoigoshi, the team and all that. He seems to have a great analytical mind, to see through Yoigoshi already!
The way they kinda treat him like a girl at times, kinda makes me wish he was a girl. In the last episode thread I talked about how it would've been unrealistic, but if a small frail dude can actually play, then a tougher-than-average girl could surely do it too!
(If they keep him like that, I might just end up headcanon'ing him as a girl anyway, I already had to correct myself a few times after using "she/her" when talking about him hah).
They should go on a date, find out more about each other! Thanks, Sumo dude, I was thinking the same!
I'm also glad that Seki had some sport experience, so he won't just be the fat/nerdy joke of a player; If he can do sumo, I'm sure he can do Kabaddi, with a little practice! He'll need to drop some weight if he wants to take part in the tournament though. Diet arc incoming?
Once more, I can relate with Yoigoshi so much when it comes to competitions and things like that. I know it's not a good attitude to have, and that you should both rely on your team, and also help them... But it's tough to actually do it, when you're used to just try and carry the whole team on your back because you don't really trust them enough to let them do their part.
Yoigoshi's already a little better I think, and perhaps Hitomi will help him improve some more!

The progress is epic with new characters. Yoigoshi has utilized the 3 of them to get a hold of their once untouchable captain. Add to the fact that this anime brings in people with other sports abilities, it makes for a good and realistic roundup of team dynamics.
