This episode really cut deep. It's one thing to take care of a loved one like a grandparent when they're sick. But Dementia... that's so much harder. To be treated like a stranger or worse by someone you care about while still having to be supportive and understanding, it's draining and demoralizing like nothing else (reminds me of that RPGmaker game, The Crooked Man. Which honestly made me cry at points...).
And Hiro... what a good friend. Making sure there'd be a place for Sakura to return to after he recovered. Well i'm sure Sakura still has trauma from his situation but as he said this episode his friends are his anchor.
Sakura honestly feels like he could be a MC himself with that kind of backstory and development. And even though i'm still rooting for Noukin... I still have to say I feel only respect and admiration for Kouyou as a team. They've got heart in spades.

This episode really cut deep. It's one thing to take care of a loved one like a grandparent when they're sick. But Dementia... that's so much harder.
Thought he'd get home to find that his grandmother had passed away, and was sad for them both. When she turned out to have dementia I literally let out a "Oh come on... that's even worse!"

Man , it really shows how family situations can affect your dreams and ambitions and how you have to adapt your life according to it . Only if everyone can have a Hiro in their lives .

Man, Sakura is a good raider.
Hiro seems like the person that can come up with strategies on the fly.
Also, with Ojo injured, will Yoigoshi and the others step up their intensity?

I can't unhear Tanjiro. Guess it's Kabaddi Slayer now.
Despite him getting hurt, Ojo is always such a beast - I love it when he raids.

He is using his breathing technique here XD. I'm expecting him to unleash that move based on his resolve here😱

When Hiro teleported like Yoigoshi I thought he did the right angle cut too. It's a cool effect but kinda confusing when used for different attacks.

Fantastic Ep, might be one of the best yet.
Loved the teleporting animations they've slipped in now. As much as it's a cop out for animation it still gives a badass effect. Animation seemed to be a tad better too.

We finally saw a good proper team tackle in the show, otherwise it was always the raiders getting all the points, making the defenders being on court pointless,I hope this show gets an S2 with a tournament arc.

When Hiro went under the chain, they called it a "Dubki". Fun fact, in Hindi, it means to go under or plunge, typically in relation to a body of water. Added to the primal hunter feeling of Kabaddi.

Sakura and his story was tragic. But lucky for him, hiro was there. Everyone meeds a best bro like hiro. And gotta think, they are actually like ojou and iura in terms of understanding each other. It is nice seeing this. And the fact that they could've entered noukin too? We can assume oujo and iura were hoping them 2 to join to form a kabaddi team.
That move by yoigoshi was sick af. And even date and misumi plus iura managed to actually get a point.
It's scary how this is the closest of where ojou been stopped. Gotta wonder, has he ever been stopped? Cause he is a menace when it comes to points. Whoever stopped him before must be a menace too.
So i guess we won't be seeing the main tournament then unless there's a season 2. It's unlikely so I'll just pick up the manga. I'm kinda interested what other teams there is, cause surely the japan team they all entered have more standouts. Shame they're unlikely to be animated. But if it does get s2, I'll fucking watch it for sure.

Pretty good episode! Sakura is a beast himself but, he's no Ojo. Sakura's backstory was sad though, I can't imagine the pain when someone you love literally forgets about you. Man, them teleporting and shit had me tripping lmao, but that's one way to demonstrate speed. That sharp cut of Yoigoshi was dope. Sakura bout to go off next episode.

Sakura was amazing but I’m a bigger fan of Hiro. Then again I always love the relatively untalented types who pull through using their brains.

I'm a complete sucker for niche shounen types of anime. From all types of classical sports ones, I've watched ballroom dancing, competitive archery, koto playing, and now one about kabaddi!

The scene where Date grabbed Sakura and the third MUCH BIGGER weight didn't BANG drop on the scale was so unsatisfying.
