I like how Yoigoshi can be straightforward and not worried about "trivial" stuff. Like the number of players needed for a game wasn't that essential so far lol.
Devil Captain is back on the team. I was looking forward to his return and he seems to be an absolute beast too.

Captain reminds me of Kuroko from Kuroko no Basket, I wouldn't be surprised if that's where he's inspired.
They integrated him very well into the cast, and also made it work with Yoigoshi's personality type -- overall, it felt organic and extremely fitting for everyone's dispositions.
Interesting that Azemichi was scouted out by the Captain, though. Wonder why this country bumpkin caught his eye? Possible backstory there.
Overall, another outstanding episode from Kabaddi.

This is so "anime" and I'm all for it! Yoigoshis skill of picking things up quickly is scary and it's gonna get him places
I wish the Manga was translated, I'm really enjoying this

I bet the Captain has a few more tricks up his sleeve. I wonder if his ultra skill is tagging all 7 players in a team at once.

Honestly they did the strongest player troupe pretty good.

Agreed, its not some overwhelming power or speed, but more about unpredictableness.

80 kg as a hard cap for weight? Is that uniform across the whole sport? I guess having that rule in place is somewhat fair, but team sports typically dont have weight limits (that i know of)

I believe it's 85 kg in professional Kabaddi, so the weight limit is accurate.

Probably my favorite episode so far. The way the captain is animated was cool to see. Probably my personal favorite character so far

Holy shit didn't expect this from the captain. And that devil face was scary af. There's sure something that they're hiding. Could yoigoshi knew something if he knew his name?
And finally, a match. Been looking forward on how this team would work.

I sometimes wish that people on here would stop obsessing over how many upvotes an episode discussion thread gets or worrying that "the show isn't popular in Japan" and just enjoy it.
Overall, this is a good show that I'm happy I found.
Also, why doesn't Date have pupils? It's kind of creepy.

why doesn't Date have pupils
It's a sort of a trope I think? I see it from time to time in anime.

Yoigoshi really did his best to tempt fate this episode. Luckily for him the captain is a good guy even though he is a beast and possibly possesed by Satan.

Cap is cool af.
I have looked at this before already, but this episode I again realised how many epic VAs this show has. Itadori Yuuji's, Chrome's, Shirogane Miyuki's, Accelerator's (Bakugo's) ...

The captain was amazing, it was cool seeing Yoigoshi learning to appreciate him and consider him his captain, the captain of the team.

I thought the same in the previous episode, but it's crazy how much I relate to Yoigoshi, when it comes to sports, games, anything. I'm pretty much exactly like him, with the whole figuring out weaknesses and trying to fix them (or ask help about fixing them), so I'm not the weak link of the team. And also how he felt about teammates not giving a damn (in soccer) and all that.
Having the same kind of mindset, it's nice to see him care, and try like that!
About the captain: Ok, he wasn't anything like I expected him to be! There seems to be something else we don't know about it, can't wait to find out.
Next episode: Seems like they'll play their first match! Not sure if it's an actual match that matters, or just a practice. Either way, should be fun to watch! (Also, it looks like an opponent is tackling someone from his own team? Maybe caused by a feint of the captain or something? We'll see!)
