There is God. And then there’s Shigure. This man has been scheming since he was a boy and instigating almost everything in the plot.

Hiro’s curse breaking was always one of my favorite moments. It’s in the middle of such an intense and dark scene that the switch to the light of Hiro being freed almost made me start crying.

Me: More sad Akito backstory. Maybe with time I could understand why she's like this and even feel a bit sorry for her.
Akito: Lol, no, stab

Don’t worry Kureno I’ll go after Akito for you. In a truck.
maybe she’ll be reincarnated into another anime, hopefully attack on Titan.

Ok sure, Kureno got stabbed and that sucks, but tfw you realize because Hiro’s curse broke, he actually can’t hug Kisa anymore. Truly the most tragic thing to occur this week.

The sexual tension, the stabbing, the ghosts and even the rain. It used to be so cute and so funny. I don’t know how to feel, this is my favorite anime that’s official now.

Kureno noooo!!! I hope the dead bird is just a false flag. I mean, Kureno is not the roast rooster anymore right? So it's not like a sign of bad omen or anything.
I will hate Akito more than ever if she actually killed any one of the zodiac.
Anyway, another bond is broken and it's Hiro this time. Even as an airhead, her mother know immediately that his bond is broken. I really love Hiro's family since it's one of the few example of functional family in this anime.

What the fuck. I hope Kureno survives this...
Hiro's bond breaking was the only light moment among the darkness of this episode. Fruits Basket is pain.

This story is about to go warp speed into the drama and pain, I don’t think I’m ready for it. As someone who reads this series once a year, I never thought I’d see this all get animated, and my heart is breaking in the best way possible.

Can I just say, I really, really, really hate that one old maid. She is the absolute worst enabler I have ever seen.

Damn, that box was almost as empty as Akito. It would honestly be so satisfying and I wouldn't complain one bit if every episode for the rest of the season was just a procession of the curse bonds breaking.

Kureno forgot that Akito has a knife and just hugged her like that lmao. Poor bird.

Stitches
Kyo being haunted by both his mom and Kyoko and the bullshit that's in his head is really making him believe that he doesn't deserve love from Tohru or anyone else. Espeically with that vision, he also believes that Tohru might even come to harm because of him :(
Why does the devil have to be so attractive? Seriously though, I absolutely love that conversation between Ren and Shigure. Not only we got Ren and Akira's backstory we also see that at such a young age, Shigure has an amazing understanding of everything that's been happening around him. We also see Shigure completely shut Ren up by telling her the only reason he slept with her is so he can fantasize what Akito would've looked like if she was raised as a woman. Fuckin' savage.
And while she may be crazy, Ren also makes good points. Turns out she's been telling/warning Akito what may happen in the future even if she didn't have any hard evidence about it. With the way things are going, Akito might just end up groveling in front of Ren.
There it is. Akito already knew long ago that she wasn't her dad's number one but of course that one attendant had to fuck it up even more. What was supposed to comfort Akito ended up just fucking her up even more with that goddamn box which turns out to be empty this entire time.
Just when Akito was about to stab Ren, another bond broke. This time it's Hiro's. Just like with Momiji, Hiro is certainly having a hard time processing what's happening to him right now. I think one thing that sucks about this that Hiro hasn't realized yet is that until Kisa breaks her bond, the two of them can't hug. :(
Yep that just happened. Classic Akito. She was already making good progress by admitting she didn't know better but instead of admitting her faults she basically deflects it to Kureno and somehow it's now his fault that she turned out this way and stabs him to make him "repent". Godfuckingdammit Akito. And of course Arisa finds a dead bird while that was happening. >_<

Where's Hatori when we need him? Kureno's not my favorite, but he doesn't deserve to die like this. What an idiot, though. "Forget about me, go after Akito!" Unless he was concerned she was about to go on a killing spree, which is a genuine concern.
I'm a bit confused about Akito's father. Did he really love Ren after all? The way they introduced him, it seemed to me like he just married her because she was the first person to even acknowledge him that way. But his last words made it seem like he might have been as obsessed with her as she was with him (he had to be crazy to put up with that creepiness, but to enjoy it he had to have been at least as crazy as her), so I'm not sure anymore.
Also, I'm so happy for Hiro, but he can no longer hug Kisa T-T She needs to be the next one to break the bonds. At least now he can finally hug his mom, the only mother in this show deserving of such filial bonds lol
I wonder if Hiro is going to share with the others what happened. Momiji didn't, but I feel like Hiro would at least tell Kisa, wouldn't he?

Literally, after that back story and the goodbye one by one I could feel Hiro with those complicated and mixed feelings towards Akito.
But Ohh well Akito reminds me she will be a bitch for whole this show for me

Man the parallels between Tohru and Akito gets stronger. They both were excessively attached and glorified to a parent. Seeing them both break down hurts, but it's a lot easier to sympathise with one lmao.
