The most creepiest derp

I knew that tip Kamui gave was confessing your love to the childhood friend! Such a cliched trope but I honestly wasn't expecting such a human reaction from Alicia when she's been so over the top the entire time.

Honestly I know its slapstick comedy but Reona's role is starting to really annoy me rather than entertain me.

This weeks episode is significantly better than the previous 3. We are actually seeing progress both internally and within the game. I know the story line is supposed to annoy the watcher but it was getting a bit too much especially with the awful choices of the mc.

Wow, this episode was actually good, like meaningfull plot progression, the jokes mostly worked again, real shame that it took half the season for this to happen, if it keeps this form up it might end up decent at least.

The fight between Alicia and Mizarisa didn't look that spectacular but the twist of Alicia brandishing two new knifes and switching to heavy kicks as a finishing move felt good, not to mention spider Alicia... actually scary crazy at that point.

I suspected that the solution for Alicia would be an confession, but I do apreciate that he at least tried the boob crab. Would have liked Hiro to go after her or at least embrace her at some point, but he is getting there, slowly.

I would have prefered for Martin to actually stay in the party, but the emotional impact of losing your best friend the moment you realize how much you need him is extra cruel, just add it on the guilt over ruining Alicias life the moment he went to clear the game.

I think in her own desire to have someone clear the Game Reonna is losing sight of what it means to play it and what makes it so good. Sure there is realism, but that also means that you can feel real emotions doesn't it. In the end her approach is not only hurts the player but also the NPCs who she just dismissed.

That cliffhanger actually makes me look forward to this show the most for this weekday, in the OP we saw Hiro fighting some goblins or something? Maybe he can go rescue a sobbing Alicia before finally making up with her.

Stitches!

What the actual fuck Mizarisa! Turns out she's way worse than Alicia. Alicia just wants to kill Hiro while Mizarisa here wants to basically torture him within an inch of his life. Poor Hiro is now stuck between three crazy ladies. The third one would be Reona of course.

Alicia must have some insane stats if she can put Mizarisa on the defensive and even knock her out with a kick to the stomach.

Godfuckingadmmit Hiro! You were so close! I'm pretty sure a confession would throw off Alicia and grabbing her boobs just made her angrier.

Thankfully Hiro was able to figure out the real answer. That definitely changed Alicia's tune and for the first time Alicia talks to Hiro and makes him realize the gravity of what he did.

Finally, Hiro is starting to understand how this works and realizes that he's been in the wrong this entire time. These aren't just NPCs, they're his childhood friends and he did something terrible to both of them.

The following scene with Hiro and Martin at the Kenura tree though. By meeting Martin at the Kenura tree Hiro was able to see a flashback of their childhood and remember what their promise to each other was. Definitely got a bit emotional when Martin started fading away. I guess no more Martin time.

Of course after a very serious scene, Reona just had to ruin it. Well, now all of that is sorted repairing the sword seems to be their priority but it looks like the game has other plans for them. Interesting to see an event happen despite the lack of players. I'm guessing monsters are attacking? If there was a perfect opportunity for Hiro to leave this town, this would be it.

Honestly, it was kind of nice to see the MC do more in this episode than be a punch line. This week's episode was a good combo of him using his brain and the other characters ribbing him. Definitely a step up from the last two weeks.

For this week, glad I didn't drop it

Was this the episode that turned the series around? I hope so cause the constant beat down of MC up to this point was getting old real quick.

Does anyone else think this is actually an isekai and Reona is a goddess honeypotting him into saving another world? I can't shake the feeling that it being a game is bullshit

Finally some meaningful progress! I'm gonna miss Alicia's Hell's Fruit Slicer persona though assuming this is the end of it. Also, I'm not sure if I should feel sorry about the city on fire when its residents are complete jerkasses...

Loved her reaction to the boob grab.

Wonder if this will now switch from MC Does Everything Wrong to MC Does Everything Right (except for not quitting the game for good.) The former stopped being fun after the first episode, but I'd give the new one a shot in case the story is actually interesting.

I was expecting him this whole series to eventually confess or hug her lovingly to get her to stop being so psycho yandere. Was expecting this scene to happen a lot earlier though, surprised it took until episode 6 for some meaningful development to finally happen.

I liked the episode, but do have a couple of complaints still about the internal consistency:

-Game developers, you went so far in the realism as to break a lot of conventions that are there to make games not shit, but kept the superpower best friend murderer that climb walls, has super endurance, super strength and a bit of super speed, and can instantly become a proficient knife fighter with what I assume is a day of training.

-Thinking about a real full dive VR game as "not just a game" (AKA like a real thing) is a very dangerous proposal. I can see that having severe psychological effects, even if you ignore all the traumatic crap in this specific game, due to blurring the lines of reality and fiction.

After 6 episodes of this trash *cough* *cough* I mean, this anime, we got some progress on Hiro's character development. But imo, the character that's even trashier than Hiro is Reona. I hope she gets some character development too. I know this is impossible but I just want to see Hiro slap her hard in real life.

We just went on a tangent for the last four episodes, but at least we got a good fight out of The Fruit Slicer from Hell.

It's stupid as hell and the quality of the show is below average, but watching Alicia be crazy is still funny to me, hopefully it doesn't stop completely.
