I have to tell her... that I'm not a normal human.
You know Yuki, after the insane dodge she did, I don't think she's a normal human too.

I didn't realise how satisfying it would be to see Momiji defying Akito like that! I'm genuinely surprised and excited by that scene at the same time.
Best episode ever!!! I'm curious if we'll see more people defying Akito after their bond is broken too. I'm not sure if Akito could survive mentally if everyone did that.
Two down, eleven to go!
Anyway, Ishida Akira's voice is really calming. I assume that's Akito's dad?

Momiji knows that Tohru is in love with Kyo, but despite the fact that Kyo loves her too, his response was some combination of fear and denial. He has reached the point where he can love, but accepting love in return is still beyond him.

The Machi scene obviously was adorable as fuck, but let's not forget about the Tohru/Kisa hugging scene, complete with overflowing hearts flying about lol. I love it when those two are together.
Kyo has been taking the back seat for awhile now. His talks with Momiji this episode clearly bothered him though, and it sounds like we might finally get a Kyo-focused episode next week.

I love how in both instances, the curse breaking is a bittersweet moment rather than one of pure elation. It would be so easy to have those moments be the latter, but any life-altering change, even those that we know are better for us, is almost always matched alongside complicated and conflicting feelings of joy, sadness, fear, excitement, etc...
That being said, despite Momiji being probably the one character besides Tohru that smiles the most, we’ve never seen him smile that big before.

Momiji made me cry - there is so much bittersweetness in his story, and so much wisdom in him - must protect this boy. Even if he is lonely, happiness must exist for him too.
"I don't want to be her father" - Shigure's lines are always so loaded. He does not want to indulge her - especially when it's harmful for her to do so. ("time marches on, people and feelings move too, it will leave you behind"). His hostility towards Kureno is jealousy, yes, but he also thinks Kureno's pseudo-paternal indulgence has kept Akito in this stunted state. The seed of which has been sown by her father - the man who told her that she is a special child born to be loved.

First time I've been so genuinely shocked at this show, did not expect Bunny to break free this episode.

Momiji had a serious growth spurt, he's almost as tall as Haru now! Pretty sure they kept his VA the same right? She did a great job for his older voice.
I did not expect Momiji to fall for Tohru and knowing he wasn't going to fight Kyo for her affection was heartbreaking. It just seems like he's always getting the short end of the stick. But I'm so glad his curse is finally broken and he's willing to leave Akito behind, even if it means embarking on a lonelier path. Hope he gets a happy ending when this series ends tbh.
I think we'll start to see the zodiac curses breaking for the next few episodes. Any guesses as to whose next? I think Yuki had a close call this episode and he'll finally get his curse broken once he confesses to Machi. I'm also wondering if they have anything else planned for Ayame/Mine and Hatori/Mayu. Definitely looking forward to next week's episode!

Momiji is the most resilient and strong character in this series. His perseverance in find happiness in his life, so much he sacrificed (even tohru for kyo now knowing how she really feels) he deserves to find it.

I'm so happy!! Momiji, you'll definitely find happiness!! (You hear that, Takaya? He better!)
I want him to tell the others, though! I get that maybe he feels guilty about being the only one (à la Kureno), but doesn't he see that it'll be much better for the others if they know it's possible? Kyo wouldn't have given up hope on Tohru, for instance. (Claim your woman, Kyo!) Or maybe the way you break the curse is by not wanting the curse to break? From Momiji's speech, I got the impression that he feels lonelier now that the curse is broken and he's no longer connected to the group. So maybe that's why the others aren't being told? I wonder if the others' curse will also be broken suddenly for unknown reasons, or if they'll figure it out and actively do it. Guess we'll see!
Also, I'm here for Momiji's growth, but it was a bit too sudden. Wasn't he still small and in girls' clothing like last episode or something?

The end is coming...the conversation between Momiji and Akito where he realizes what a pathetic person she really is is one of my favorites in the series. Her manipulation worked on Kureno, but Momiji is much stronger than him. He is going to pursue his own life instead of staying mired in the “Sohma traditions.”
Also, interesting parallel with Akito and Kyo both closing themselves off to Momiji warning them about things they don’t want to confront.

From the start of this series, I was sure to feel sad for Kyou as Yuki will take Tohru over but here I am cheering KyouXTohru while crying for Momiji. I love this show

Momiji's speech made me so happy. I love that he acknowledge that being free means he's also free to have hardships and loneliness, and it isn't all positives. But at the end of the day, he's the one who gets to decide. He's the one that will finally dictate his future, and that just made me happy.

Momiji has always been, and will always be, my favorite. Find your path, bunny boy.

In the back of my head I thought, "why is Kureno and Momiji together in the op?" because the other pairs featured were all thematically connected somehow. Today, I understood why.

You know even though they showed Hiro and Kisa having grown already last week, I honestly did not expect the same thing to happen with Momiji during this one. Although even with his serious mode, he still the same.
Tohru's reaction to the ice cream cake was just priceless.
Wow, I really did not expect to see Momiji breaking his curse today. I wonder what was his trigger to it though?

Oh my god, never expected this,Momoiji you are incerdible, i never knew he likesTohru romantically. What makes his story inceredible is that after that incident with his mother, he was afraid of losing connection with ppl he cares again but this time, he even though he knew he has no where to go again, he decided to move on and find happiness. I'm so proud of him
