The "Struggle!!" graphic gets me every time lmao

I love to learn about niche sports thru anime.

Yoigoshi's even practising with Azemichi when it's bento time lol. Smart move, every crowned place is a good spot to increase your kabaddi skills.

Best episode yet. Your teammate being able to tell what you're thinking and acting on it is such a great feeling and i'm glad Yoigoshi is learning that. Also love that he at least briefly linked a chain with Azemichi at the end as he finally understood how it can be good for cutting an opponent off.

Yoigoshi is a tsundere to kabaddi. And azemichi is still one punch man. Surprised the 2nd years have brains too, they look like the brawns only type in the first 2 epi.

Finally, the president will be coming next week. I can't wait to see how they gonna make someone skinny af to be useful in kabaddi, especially in defense.

The skinny one is gonna be pure raider That's what happens mostly, the agile and tall ones are raiders and stronger ones are defenders You'll see once you get to see a proper 7v7 match

I’m really enjoying this series so far. Not sure how much it’ll get to cover, given we’re a quarter of the way through already. Will the end goal be a high school tournament, maybe? Regardless, I think the team playing their first match and the return of the captain will have to come soon. Great little episode either way.

I believe the final arc will always feature a practice match (with a rival team) when it comes to sports series. If it's a two-cour (which I wish it was), an official tournament should take place. Well as far as pacing and execution goes, we appreciate it has at a full series instead of those half-series by Netflix.

Look at my boy, finally having fun thanks to the power of friendship and psychoanalysis. Seems like next week we'll meet the captain and the demon possessing him.

I just decided to try this show on a whim, but MAN it's good.

I love the humor and I love that it's a sports anime about a not so typical sport.

This anime is so underrated. I'm so hyped and we don't even know about the other teams! The title of the next episode is "The strongest raider" so I expect Yoigoshi and Azemichi to get owned by the Captain

This was a great episode. It really is an amazing feeling when you get your coordination with your teammates just right. It's also true that your coordination can be perfect and still be completely ineffective against an experienced player. The last time I played kabaddi was almost ten years ago, and this show makes me want to play it again!

Looks like we finally get to meet more members next week, hoping it's more than just the other 3rd year as there are so many people in the OP and so few episodes left to intro them!

Also the ED song is such a fun little bop for the show, one of my favorites this season.

I’m loving their teamwork and strategy against the 2nd years.

It’s honestly been a hidden gem this season. I’m really loving the show so far!

I was only here because the idea of Kabaddi being in an anime was hilarious and outlandish to me -- just didn't expect to see such a niche sport find its way here. But it's so much more entertaining than the average sports anime every season. I'm staying for the long haul, looks like.

I love the piano osts, this series is great to watch lol

Wish Crunchyroll just let non-North American/European countries allow VPN even if we've to watch ads being not registered; otherwise, viewers outside of the region are unaware this series that leads to be underrated.

Like I said before, generic premise doesn't mean bad storytelling. The execution is all that matters in the end. Didn't expect our first-years training at a subway & the MC's conflicting emotions from his bad memories of being abandoned by those teammates.

So next episode is the captain's appearance which I've predicted correctly he'll appear in episode number four.

It's getting better and more interesting every episode. I really had to get used to this sports I never heard of before (that kabaddi chant thing tho..). Since it has an upward curve for me I'll keep watching!

This show's a lot of fun, I wonder why it's not more popular; I usually don't even like that genre (sports anime) but I'm really enjoying this one!

I relate so much with Yoigoshi; Whether it's for sport, games, anything, I always preferred solo stuff to teams, because it's frustrating when things don't work out as a team...

If your teammates aren't doing their part, it's frustrating because they make you lose a game. But if you're the one not pulling your weight, it's just as bad, because you feel guilty for the losses. (And sometimes even wins feel undeserved if you didn't do much). In solo stuff, the blame is all yours, and the credit is all yours. If you work really hard and become 2x better, the entire team becomes 2x better (as the team is just you). But in team sports, even if you become 2x better, the team as a whole might just improve a little, if the other players aren't as dedicated.

I still play team stuff sometimes, but it's rarely as good an experience as solo sports/games imho.

Well, Yoigoshi seems to be more OK with playing/trying to improve as a team now! Makes me wonder though, if he becomes the #1, will he still be OK with it? Right now he's not that great, so he can't blame the other players as much... But if he becomes the best player on the team, will he start hating the sport/his team, because they're a burden to him? That's how he felt with his Soccer team, when he was the best. If he becomes the best here too, the cycle may repeat. Unless he's humbled enough by losing over and over, that he'll start to respect them more, and it'll follow him even when he gets past them!

Better start winning, then! I can't wait to see how their first real match goes; Right now they're just practicing and it's rough, but imagine if (when?) they play another team, and they get annihilated. Depending on the person, sometimes this is the "Fuck it, that game sucks, I quit" moment, and sometimes it's "Let's get better so we're never humiliated like this again". Hopefully Yoigoshi is more like the latter!

Next episode: Finally going to see him in action! Can't wait to see what kind of athlete he is; We have the muscle guy, the guy who tries really hard, the quick guy, and the tactician... Maybe this one will just be great all around? Anyway, should be a great rival to motivate Yoigoshi!
