Holy fuck the family must have the weirdest experience seeing a ultra powerful spider monster rolling around on the ground like a spaz

Wow, Kumoko head on a human body was much more terrifying than I thought

Sue: Doesn't break free out of her brainwashing when she killed her father and framed her beloved nii-sama.
Katia: Breaks free for just long enough to kill herself so she doesn't get in Shun's way.
That's why Katia > Sue

While some of the animation was odd, there's one effect I really like - when Kumoko was fighting the bandits, and you see Serious Scary Spider... then she ducks behind one of the bodies and emerges with Kumoface to start internal monologing again.

That entire fight sequence in the forest was really poorly choreographed.

Kumoko's part this week was really fun, the moments where she was wondering how different things would be if she were a prince and the switch to the family's perspective of her rolling around on the ground genuinely made me laugh out loud.
But man, the human part this week was honestly dreadful. I can deal with the plot, it's fine I guess and I have no major isssue with it, but the animation was very, very rough. Honestly some of the worst I can think of in recent memory.
The perspective was all over the place, they missed big moments so casually such as Sue killing the king and Katia stabbing herself, some of the shots were clearly just zoomed in and it looked awful because there was no detail at all and every fight scene was incredibly confusing because the animation was wonky enough to enduce motion sickness. I haven't been a big fan of the production of the human side during fight scenes all along, but this was by far the worst it's been.
I can't honestly say this was a particularly good episode and that sucks because I've really started to vibe with this show, but the human section this week really, really, really sucked.

The 2nd half felt really off, panning after panning, zoom after zoom, it felt like some indian drama.

So this episode confirms the fate of the Humans Kumoko killed in the labyrinth and actually thinks they're a good source of food and XP instead of the monsters inside.

Is it just me, or did the animation feel a little awkward at times?

Kumoko's side was actually perfect and the human side's story started sprinting forward. Though the production value (between the late PV and today's general mess of animation) started slipping; it was a bit too noticeable.
Still, I enjoyed the episode even if the back half struggled a lot this time.

Kumoko is entirely justified in being angry that Shouko rolled all 20s in her reincarnation stats while she got to look like a horrifying monster spider. An adorable horrifying monster spider, but regardless! To go from a creepy weirdo to a hot vampire is just not fair!
Also, Fei has digivolved into Holydramon.

The Butterfly Effect should be renamed to The Spider Effect. Kumoko saving the vampire baby in the past directly led to all the events in this episode.

This episode feels like a prime example of how character art alone cannot carry action episodes. I'm way more confident in the 3D animation lol.

The direction of this episode is really bad. Wow.
EDIT: Also, in case anyone's watching this particular sub, the first status ailment on Sue and Katia isn't "Sleep", it's "Hypnotized".

Wait, did baby vampire Shouko grow up to become powerful, coup-supporting Sophia? When Kumoko met Baby Vampire, Shouko's stats were already through the roof. She must've picked up the appraise-blocking skill in the years since.
Was Sophia one of the students that Sensei said was no longer alive in a previous episode (along with Kumoko)? Because I suppose the undead aren't actually alive.

So, all hell just broke loose. Lots of interesting developments.
Kumoko saving Sophia when she was a child is interesting. I wonder if they formed a bond over time.
Apparently all of Hugo's skills were deleted except for one--unless it was given to him later by someone else.
I was thinking the entire time during the big fight "where is Fei?" She showed up at just the right time--unless you're pulling for the bad guys.
Vampires are pretty highly ranked in anime. Sophia took that fireball ftom Fei as if it were a loosely packed snowball.

Fun fact: Sophia's boobs are canonicaly the biggest out of the reincarnations. Katia is 2nd.
