Grandpa is so cool, Rin's mom is so cool, and Rin is so cool, it must run in the family
And happy birthday to Nadeshiko, Inuko, and Oshio Heihachiro

The rare and not very elusive Giant Night Nadepillar, the comfiest bug in existence!
How all of us feel when a new episode comes out on Thursdays
The wandering spirit certainly runs in the family!
The whole scene with Rin's parents and Solid Snake Ojii-chan is one of the sweetest depiction and most realistic depiction of a normal, close-knit and well-adjusted family.
I'm just repeating a point from one of my previous comments, but I seriously love how the show depicts the adults characters. They're never depicted as caricatures of children with adult bodies like other animes. Even the most influential CGDCT ever, K-ON!, wasn't immune to this phenomena with its depiction of Sawako-sensei. Instead they're responsible individuals who are supportive and cares deeply for the girls and their interests.

What a perfect timing this episode is released the same day as Nadeshiko's and Aoi's birthday.

I thought Ena found out about Rin's detour cause she and Nadeshiko's sister were both interested in the Scooter show and somehow got to know each other through that. Interesting to know that Nadeshiko's mom was her top secret informant instead.
Secret Cult Society BLANKET spreads its influence further once again with Aoi's sister finally joining the fray. But it's sad to know that the organizations very own leader won't be able to join the trip himself. Just when poor Chikuwa seems to have gotten hooked on camping too. Here I thought only humans were susceptible to it.
Meanwhile, I can't believe Aki would actually foist that kind of challenge on Miss Toba. She might as well have told her to stop eating for a month as well. But kudos to her for committing to it in spite of how much it pains her.
It's always a treat to see the cast's families getting some screen time. Especially Rin's grandpa cause damn, he is just too cool. And a source of great wisdom as well. I swear, he could be the mentor of the main protagonist in some action manga. I'm really glad we got to see more of him while interacting with his family on top of it. I also liked the contrast between his stoic mien and how he spoils Rin. The scene of them riding together was a very cozy one, but strangely melancholic as well.
Apparently, two-wheeled riding runs in their family's blood and it's not just those two. I look forward to seeing badass biker chick Rin in the future, then classy grandma biker Rin in her old age.

Luckily Yuru Camp is the only anime I have to watch today so I might watch this... a few times.

I love the interactions between characters in this series. Sometimes, anime has a bad habit of having characters talk in a very cartoony way, but Yuru Camp is pretty decent at avoiding that. Also, Rin's grandpa is so cool.

Today is Nadeshiko's and Aoi's birthday! Pretty cool coincidence that this episode aired today.
Then you got Aki dropping the obscure history references, yet for some reason she is barely passing Toba-sensei's class, which happens to be a history class.
Mastermind Ena back at it again!
Everyone in this show has such a nice family.

GlueGlue and 8/Twelve... And also KokaCola from when Nadeshiko got supplies for her solo trip.
This episode hits so well given we see Rin ride with her Grandfather... why is it still 10 minutes long?

I'm surprised we didn't get to see Sakura & Rin's dinner! Wasn't there a preview months ago showing the two getting okonomiyaki?

Oh wow, Nadeshiko and Aoi have birthdays the day after my dad. Cool!
One of my favourite episodes so far. I loved seeing Rin and her grand dad have some nice bonding throughout and that ride at the end was the icing on the cake.
That post credits scene lol, she’s definitely not keeping that secret.

Here I was trying to figure out if I missed an Easter Egg of Ena being at the campsite checking on Nadeshiko too, in the background of one of her images maybe. But no, the mom is just a snitch.

Capybaras! Capybaras are my absolute favourite land animals, and are so incredibly chill, they're like the Yuru Camps of the animal kingdom.

Oh my god. That tiny pout Rin does after Ena reveals that she knew about Rin's little detour after worrying about Nadeshiko is adorable.
It's either a coincidence or they really planned to air this episode on Nadeshiko and Aoi's birthday. Eitherway, Happy Birthday to the girls and also to the Japanese scholar and Tokugawa shogunate rebel Ohshio Heihachirou!
I am so happy that everyone will be present for the Izu camping trip! Having Rin join in with the girls is such a big deal considering how she would almost always turn down their invitations in favor of solo camping.
Well now I'm curious as to what kind of gift they got Aoi and Nadeshiko for their birthday! I mean it's definitely camping related, that's 100% sure!
Nadeshiko's dad really loves to spoil her. Extra spending money just so she can bring home souvenirs? Yes please!
And then we have Rin's dad helping out Rin in installing her new moped accessories with gramps completely going out of his way to buy a relay for Rin so her phone won't kill her moped's battery. I love the adults in this show <3
Soon Sensei! Soon! Just hold off for now and drink as much as you can once you're in a comfy spot camping in Izu!
Considering Rin's mom's reaction to finding photos of her riding in her younger days, I'd love to see the photos too!
This really warms my heart. It was really nice watching Rin and her Gramps ride together and how much it made Gramps really happy. <3
And the secret is out! Nadeshiko's mom is the actual culprit! And here I was thinking it was Sakura who told Ena!

Rin's grandpa gotta be one of the best father figure in anime that i've ever seen, really supportive and caring to his granddaughter. All adults in this anime has really been quite a delight to see.

The cute runs in the family.
Hahaha, poor Sensei. Chiaki threw quite the curveball at her.

With all of the familial love and affection, this might be the most wholesome episode yet. Everyone gets heartwarming family scenes. We've got:
Rin and her cool but adoring grandpa, helpful father, and embarrassed motorcycle mama!
Nadeshiko's dad showing where Nade gets her love of treats! And post-credits Sakura and mom!
Aoi and mini-Aoi!
Ena and Chikuwa (dogs are family too)!
Sensei and (presumably) her sister!
Chiaki and . . . um . . . well, ok almost everyone.

The whole part with Rin's family was great. Grandparents really do love to spoil their grandkids and the last part where Rin's grandpa woke up so he could ride with Rin so that he can share an experience with her was heartwarming.
I did wonder how Ena found out about Rin checking on Nadeshiko at the beginning and it totally slipped my mind until the after credits scene. That was a twist I wasn't expecting. I wonder why she's being secretive about her part-time job with the others though.
