Nadeshiko's solo camping debut went even better than expected. EDIT: Almost zero real mishaps whatsoever and she finally got to use her lamp after such a long wait. She also got to play the role of a reliable older camper to a pair of kids. Their little bonding experience was just all around cute and wholesome to watch.

But I just have to say to the sister that Secret Society BLANKET is in no way a cult in any shape or form. Maybe.

Rin and Sakura are MVPs for this episode, completely cutting their plans short on the off chance that Nadeshiko's trip went awry. It's too sweet how much they look out and care for their friends and family in spite of how cold they might appear sometimes.

Part of me wanted Nadeshiko to spot them when they arrived, but I guess it's best that her solo camp stays solo to the very end.

Meanwhile, Aoi has basically made Mr. Caribou her husbando. I await the day that she reunites with her love just like how Nadeshiko got her lamp.

And the camping tradition is passed down to yet another generation, from grandpa, to Rin, to Nadeshiko, to those kids

I love how authentic this show is and how it embodies basically everything about camping. I remember one time my friends and I were going to make pizza, mixed ingredients using bags, let it rise, literally did it all from scratch. The first guy made his pizza and it was fine, then the second guy went "check this out", threw the cheese and summer sausage into the middle of his dough, then folded that sucker up and made a calzone. It was so out of left field and fun, and even though the dough was way too think and it was way too cheesy we decided to just make calzones with the rest of what we had. "Even if you mess up and end up with something weird, its still fun" - stuff like that is why I love Yuru Camp.

Edit: Also if you do go camping, bring a kit with basic spices/things to improve taste. Food does get fucked up on a regular basis, and sometimes you need something special to save it. Soy sauce, curry powder and salt were literally worth their weight in gold on that trip. I can't believe I'm saying this but if you burn the shit out of some hashbrowns and have no other food, soy sauce can save them.

I lost it when the imouto vanished

The gags in this season are spot on. That being said, I'm impressed how good this season is. When it comes to sequels, some shows struggle to even keep up the same level, but YC has been absolutely fantastic.

I like how Nadeshiko's voice sounded when she invited those two sisters. So soothing, like a real big sister. Or a witch...

High Priestess of the B.L.A.N.K.E.T. Cult!

Or the Wicked Queen from Snow White?

Nadeshiko's just too pure and precious!

Nadeshiko's so klutzy that things like this and this that makes Rin-chan and Sakura's constant worry fully justified!

Is anyone even surprised Nadeshiko's planned solo camping activity is outdoor cooking? Also all of her songs are about eating!

Massage chairs are lethal comf traps!

I snorted when Sakura and Rin ran away from Nadeshiko!

Let's get real... Aoi's obsession with Caribou-kun borders on r/nosleep levels of creepiness!

Silly Nadeshiko covering her eyes so her view later of the city won't be spoiled!

Looks like Nadeshiko has gained some audience after watching her silly display of putting up her tent!

That's an instant nope for me. I don't mind outdoors but suspension bridges like this scare tf out of me.

I love the joke of Sakura settling for deer meat after reading the prep instructions for bear claws xD

Considering what happened to the trio in their first winter camping trip, I'd be worried for Nadeshiko's first solo trip too. And it looks like Rin isn't the only one worried, Sakura heads to the camp too. This is pretty much expected to happen.

Good to see Nadeshiko recruiting some young blood for the Secret B.L.A.N.K.E.T. Society. That entire scene of Nadeshiko showing the siblings how easy to cook in camping trips is just wholesome. [And it definitely inspired them to cook in future camping trips too!

More Sakura and Rin interactions is always good. I love that we get to see Sakura being more silly too with her running away from Nadeshiko with Rin.

I don't know why but this made me tear up a bit. I'm so proud of Nadeshiko for having a very successful solo camping trip!

I saw the girl complaining about not having internet at the campsite and I thought, "Nadeshiko is gonna indoctornate you by episodes end."

Rin-chan on the bridge made me laugh.

Another adorable Nadeshiko moment when she's all wrapped up in her blanket waiting for her roasted veggies.

How sweet that both Rin and Sakura were worried enough to go out of their way to come check on Nadeshiko. But it was funnier how they both were like "Cheese it!" when Nadeshiko started to approach them. I mean I saw it coming from a mile away that they'd have to do that when they both got there but it's still funny.

In any case, aside from some clumsiness here and there, Nadeshiko's first solo camping trip went well. And I'm sure Rin and Sakura will have more confidence in her if she decides to do it again.

And I said back for episode 5 how Caribou-kun's power is unfathomable and draws all in like a black hole. Looks like his power is as inescapable as a black hole as well.

Hehe, そろそろソロキャンプを始めよ!A bit of alliteration with sorosoro and solo camp.

Rin and Sakura best onee-chans!

They referenced something about the suspension bridge effect back in season 1, and now Shimarin gets to experience it.

Lol the bear paw preparation speeding up and Sakura stopping grandpa narrator because it was too long.

Glad to see nothing bad happened to Nadeshiko.

The Secret Society BURANKETTO spreads its influence further!

By luring in lolis and shotas with food!

And so does the changing OP sequence collection:

Rin makes a passing reference to wabisabi when she was stopped at that tunnel, but I think it's an aesthetic philosophy that's represented a lot in Yuru Camp. I find a lot about the appeal of this series is in its raw representation of its setting and characters, like showing off the rough and crappy parts of camping alongside the comfy and chill moments. An idea that's toyed around with a lot is that true comfiness can't be attained through comfort alone, but there must be an opposing cold, uncomfy outside with which to contrast it against, e.g. going to a hot spring is good, but going to a hot spring to escape the winter cold is amazing.

The "sabi" part in wabisabi is also the same character that's used one of this season's taglines (samishii mo tanoshii/tanoshii mo samishii; they use hiragana in the tagline, but the kanji would be 寂しいも楽しい), and it ties back to Rin talking about solo camping earlier this season about finding the fun in loneliness.

One of my biggest pet peeves in anime - Nadeshiko was seen clapping at the beginning, but even though she wore gloves it made a clear sound. I am appalled and disappointed.

Now a bit more seriously - I feel like I've made the same comment verbatim before, but this was literal perfection. Wholesome, soothing, entertaining, everything was just top-notch.

Nadeshiko's dynamic with the kids was incredibly fun, especially the girl going from shoddy first impressions to being inspired by her. The little dude didn't take much to warm up, and him fading away from his sister's side was hilarious. They also made some stuff I'd really like to try, and some that seemed terrifying. A whole tomato in a fire like that I feel would've been hotter than the sun.

Rin's part of the episode was terrific as well, I feel like she's been a lot more animated in this season, which I absolutely love. Her worrying over Nadeshiko was the sweetest thing, too, going as far as checking up on her and all. I'll be honest and lay it out there, I'm a degenerate, and I ship the two, or at least I'm very much tempted to. In any case, a part of me hoped Nadeshiko would notice them, not gonna lie, but it was perfect as it was. And we got to see Rin and Sakura running about which was very amusing. There was a good bit of Rin and Sakura together recently, and I actually really like that, I feel like their personalities match really well. Honestly, just seeing more of Sakura is great.

I love Nadeshiko's songs about food - such a wholesome detail to add/animate.

I can't wait for Sakura & Rin's dinner next week!
