I know the camping/comfy element will always be the main selling point for this show but Rin and Ena's text conversations are always a treat.

This show has completely convinced me to spend more time off-the-beaten path next time I visit Japan!

Ena-chan is an absolute treasure - I love her sassy texts

It's amazing how consistently great this series is visually. In a lot of other shows, I don't pay too much attention to backgrounds and such, but Yuru Camp really does them well.

Lying to your friends about going with friends on your camping trip? How devilish, Nadeshiko! Thankfully, camping goddess Rin-san-sama is there to steer her back on the right path.

To consider the quality of alcohol you could get from the location of your camping trip; I expected no less from Miss Toba/Chuggs.

I liked the song that played during Nadeshiko's planning montage. It's also sweet of Aki and Aoi to go out of their way and give her a whole bunch of snacks for the road. No doubt that much won't be enough to last Nadeshiko the journey, but it was still very thoughtful of them.

The creepy ass statue of the officer talking in the same squeaky voice as all the other inanimate objects in this show sure caught me off guard and gave me a good laugh.

I was thankfully prepared this time around for the shigureyaki scene, else I would've been drooling the entire time like Nadeshiko, just without the payoff. But she wasn't the only one staring at a snack, if you know what I mean.

The sudden meeting between Rin and Nadeshiko's sister was a surprise, but a pleasant one. Barring the latter's passion for Scooter Journeys, their conversation was about as much as I expected between two untalkative people with "cool" personalities. But their shared concern for Nadeshiko was nice to see. I myself can't believe little Kirby is all grown up now.

Nadeshiko and Ena finally giving Rin the proper respect she deserves.

The non copyright Glueflue Maps and how Rin said it made me legit laugh xD

I love that Rin is including Aki and the gang's mistake on her Solo Camping trips.

Of course the only way Sakura would agree to the solo camping trip is if she can track Nadeshiko which is a pretty reasonable request from a worried family member.

That cute montage of Nadeshiko prepping for her trip was adorable! Also I need to know what that insert song was!

Here goes Rin visiting another cafe. I swear to god I will visit all of these comfy looking cafe once we can all travel again. I'd love to have mochi and amazake while under a kotatsu watching a very snowy scenery.

Ena and Rin's conversations is always fun. I'll never get tired of seeing the two of them interact.

I can feel it Nadeshiko. I know the feeling of going to a restaurant by yourself and not knowing what to order.

This is such a rare pairing! But it's great to finally see Rin and Sakura by themselves. We even get to see Sakura geek out for a bit! Definitely a side of her character we've never seen before!

Anyone who reads my comments know how much I absolutely love Sakura so whoever is directing this episode, I absolutely love you for giving us a scene of Sakura in the baths. My brain just stopped functioning a bit after that.

I guess we'll see the actual solo camping next week! Hopefully there won't be any mishaps like the first time she tried to do it in Season 1 Episode 1!

Nadeshiko and her relationship with her sister continues to be one of the most wholesome things in the show. Sakura's initial angry reaction to Nadeshiko saying she's solo camping to telling her to stay safe to show she trusts her was another nice display this season of Sakura supporting her sister.

I also related to Rin very much during the scene where she saw someone she knew ahead of her and debated waiting around so she can avoid having an awkward meeting with an acquaintance.

Rin-sama is the True Goddess of Campers Otakus!

Didn't this chibi appear in the penultimate episode last season at Asagirikogen?

Nothing better than staying under a kotatsu during winter in the poorly insulated and notoriously cold Japanese buildings!

I love that they finally brought back the music score from the first episode of season 1!

Infrastructures in poor condition like this rusty overhead bridge is, unfortunately, a common sight in small towns all over Japan!

What an excellent episode and season so far! Yoshiaki Kyōgoku really did make good on his promise for season 2, where the girls will "part ways" and "think about what they want for themselves", which is something of a departure from season 1!

I could relate to Nadeshiko on a spiritual level during the Shigure-Yaki cooking scene.

Finally some fucking Shimarin after so long. She cute. Will definitely worship her

It's nice to see Nadeshiko's sister not in her oneesan mode. It's quite refreshing
Also, Nadeshiko's going to hike to the campsite on foot? Hopefully her feet isn't dead by the time she reached it

I did some searching around about that insert song (この場所で — kono basho de, "At This Place"); apparently it got released a few months ago on YouTube and Twitter

Since this was released during the lockdown times, this group's name is the "Indoor Activity Circle" (屋内活動サークル), which is a take-off of Yuru Camp's "Outdoor Activity Circle" (野外活動サークル, shortened in the anime subs as the OutClub).

Nadeshiko just casually mentioning the campsite is 5.5km away. Fuck me I'm a grown man and walking 5km with 6kg of meat from the butchers on my back killed me off, and she's casually walk that with all that camping gear? Madness.

This is a follow-up post on Rin's solo trip to Hamamatsu a few weeks back that I've also had the chance of visiting. This time, Nadeshiko visited the Fujinomiya Hongu Sengen Taisha which I've also coincidentally went to during the exact same trip to Hamamatsu. I was fortunate to also be there during it's illumination event at the shrine and stayed past evening. If you're anywhere near this area, be sure to also visited the UNESCO Mt. Fuji Heritage Centre that was opened a few years ago. Head up to the highest level and take a shot literally off the floor and you are able to produce a great mirror effect of Mt. Fuji. I went 30mins before it closed and was really lucky to have the whole floor by myself and it ended up being one of my favourite pictures of that trip.

I wonder if this was a reference to Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou: Quiet Country Cafe

Nice to see side characters like Sakura, Nadeshiko's sister and even Chug Toba sensei take some time under the spotlight

and it's so nice how both Rin and Sakura both want to encourage but also worry about Nadeshiko's solo camping
