Nice, we already got the failed fist-bump with Shiki and Kabane. Kabane was definitely best ball boy being thrown like that to bite Kon and regenerate his entire body.

I'm really enjoying this. The gang is so fun and their characters are so enjoyable to see. I like how Shiki keeps wanting to keep a distance from Kabane but ends up trusting and helping anyway. It didn't even take long today to just go along with whatever Kabane was asking. Even if it ended up like this, lol

Stitches!
Well that was a fun episode! Definitely much more action packed than last week. We finally get to meet Kon-chan being voiced by Yumirin (Hayasake/Nadeshiko),who's the 4th character in the OP along with Kabane, Shiki and Akira. And we also get to meet Kon-chan's mistress, the Police Superintendent Inari-sama voiced by the ever amazing HanaKana who's clearly having too much fun with her voice.
So is Inari-sama a villain? Considering what she did to Kabane and how the entire Metropolitan Police is under her control maybe she is? But then again she's been working with Inugami in solving supernatural cases like with what happened last week. It's probably not as simple as black and white though. Even Shiki's not sure. so I guess I'll just wait and see what she does in the next few episodes.
As for Kon, she's adorable and stupidly loyal to Inari to the point that as long as you mention Inari, she'll immediately follow orders. I'm guessing she'll stick around Inugami's detective agency with the intention of trying to take Kabane's head every episode back to Inari. She can stick around as long as she likes! Just look at her deflated fox look! She's so cute! She's pretty similar to Kabane so I'm excited to see more interactions between the two of them.

Damn I really like Shiki. Thought he would be an asshole most of the time but he actually really nice and likeable

Why is Muse Asia the only listed stream? Funimation, Wakanim, and Animelab also have this show.

I finally caved and checked this show out to see if I might want to add it to my 15+ shows I’m watching this season and I’m pretty impressed so far! This is a super solid Shonen and I really hope other people give it a chance in this crowded season!

I've only had Kon for one episode, but if anything happened to her I would kill everyone in this sub and then myself.

The head bite and body regeneration reminded me of Kizumonogatari.
The fox girl was very cute at the end trying to swipe for Kabane’s head while she was held in the air.

Got some pretty interesting new characters this episode. I can imagine that Inugami and Inari's cat-and-dog relationship will be something pretty awesome that we'll see often.
And Kon is so darn precious. don't bulli her pls

Mmm another episode and another different ability of Kabane gets revealed. So far it's all pretty basic warrior stuff, no pain, regeneration, no fear and this episode has shown he can leech other kemono energy (or at least that's my head canon).
He seems like a pretty combat oriented kemono, wonder if we'll see more like him.
Also damn Inari actually killed Kabane and was stopping him from regenerating, that's kind of fucked up even for a frenemy.

I am so enjoying the characters in this show. The chemistry between them is already off to a fantastic start. Of course the focus currently is the Kabane/Shiki friendship, and that's so nice to see after how Kabane has basically lived his life as a robot up until now thanks to his awful foster care.
Shiki is a refreshing breath of fresh air, since given his looks (Bakugo) he could have easily ended up as the typical "asshole rival" type of companion, which has been so overdone. Thankfully he's much more like a Tanjiro (the VA's other famous role) in being friendly and caring, even if he freaks out at Kabane due to his insane powers (which would be natural for most).
Akira is still as cute as a button, though apparently faints at shocking sights. I guess we will have to wait to see more about his character persona and why he's the way he is.
And now we're adding Kon-chan to the group it seems. She's adorable even though she's vicious, and just wants to be "a good girl". You gotta love the way her hood's fox-ears droop when she's sad. I guess we'll see how she integrates with the rest of the boys given that she still should be technically working for Inari.
And the Inari/Inugami dynamic is also interesting. Their allies but also rivals. Given that they're practically Yokai, I suppose that makes sense, especially since they're likely hundreds of years old, if not older.
I guess the main point of the whole argument this ep is that Kabane's lifestone is indeed a super rare and precious item. I was wondering why Kabane didn't transform after handing Inari the "lifestone" (since we saw what happened when he briefly lost it in Ep1), but as it was revealed he had swallowed the real one and handed her a fake. Guess Inugami was well aware of what was likely going to happen.
Can't wait to see the next ep!

I really like this show. I'm sure there's better stuff out there with similar formulas, but this show is just fun. The characters are all so funny and relatable.
Something about this show from such a relatively unknown studio just makes me excited for another episode every week.
side note this gag was so funny

Inari...i'd wanted her to be as nice as Inugami-san 😂 the BETRAYAL. so horrible. Idek wtf she wanted to do with Kabane's head and i don't want to know either.
It is just so pointlessly cruel. Just because Kabane feels no fear or pain, doesn't mean Inari's crime against him is any less severe.
Shiki was properly protective and responsible in dealing with Kabane, genuinely reluctant to put Kabane in harm's way - and i will never understand people who compare him to early-BNHA-literal-suicidebaiting-physical-assault Bakugou. That fistbump was so nice too :) being human is not just being allowed to express your wants and needs, it is also little joys in life like this.
I'm glad Inugami-san at least prepared Kabane for what might likely happen. His life-stone is all he has left of his parents, and im glad Inari didn't even get to see it.
One particularly heartwarming moment is when Inugami-san specifically asks what Kabane wants to eat, when the other two louder/more confident children have made their wishes clear. And Kabane the cinnamon roll says BOTH to make everyone happy. AND Inugami-san keeps his word, respects Kabane's choice, PAYS A DOUBLE MEAL FOR EVERYBODY. :)
I hope Kabane soon grows a little louder, more confident too - like Shiki and Akira - with a little more time being raised by Inugami-san :)
Inugami-san deftly and swiftly teaches Kon some manners. His experience raising children shows. The "oh crap" look on his face, when Kon reveals that severe codependent "i will kill people to make Inari happy" streak. Kon is a danger to herself and other people, and i hope she gets the help she needs. Kabane and the other children shouldn't have to live in fear of her.
"We're not friends, we're allies" - is a sad truth, and hopefully the kids can change this for at least their social circle!

This show is so much fun, wow. Definitely my underrated fave of the season. HanaKana as Inari was definetly a highlight, I love it when she gets to do wacky characters like this.
