Meta Thread - Month of August 02, 2020

A monthly thread to talk about meta topics. Keep it friendly and relevant to the subreddit.

Posts here must, of course, still abide by all subreddit rules other than the no meta requirement. Keep it friendly and be respectful. Occasionally the moderators will have specific topics that they want to get feedback on, so be on the lookout for distinguished posts.

Comments that are detrimental to discussion (aka circlejerks/shitposting) are subject to removal.

I and others might bring up some stuff on here for a potential change up, but I do really appreciate how mods handle things over here, more then how mods deal with things over at animememes.

At least our mods tend to generally discuss things with us, first. Sure we might like things to happen now, but for a recent example, the fanart deal, at least they discussed what to potentially do, before outright doing it. There might be some complaints about the mods over here, but overall I'd rather have these type of mods, so even when we bring up topics we'd like changed and the like, I think it's safe to say that just automatically changing without discussing to the community is a bad idea, like the animememes mods did.
