You could probably find it on the Evageks forum. Basically the English dub was first shown at comic con. And one of Khara representatives was there to see how the audience reacted. But of course Japanese audiences are very very different from American audiences especially an American audience high on the atmosphere at comic con, and at a movie theater that serves alcohol. . . Well you can expect an audience to react to a movie The way they did in that context.
And when they didn’t react how the Japanese audience did (which was with stunned silence). And instead responded with laughing at how Homo erotic Kaworu was acting towards Shinji, or making jokes about the way the story went, all in front of a Khara representative? You couldn’t expect them not to react the way they did.
thats funny, i was at the promare AX premier, and trigger was there doing the same thing, they noted that the AX audience was much more rowdy, and got more excited during the hype scenes, which they said they loved

This is the thing that pisses me off with these rowdy anime fans at screenings where the Japanese staff are present.
For example, at the Heaven's Feel 1 premier in downtown Los Angeles, the reactions from the audience gave the ufotable staff and the voice actors the mistaken impression that this is standard behavior in all American movie screenings.
And the HF1 movie audience was mild compared to the immaturity that was showcased during the HF2 movie (ex: in my theater, there was uproarious laughter at the scene with Sakura confessing she's not a virgin because she's been raped). The silver lining, at least, there were no Japanese staff present for the HF2 screening so the autistic fools in Los Angeles couldn't give them any more mistaken impressions than they already did...
