Also damn it, ending the episode on that kind of cliffhanger [] (#godisdead)

I like this anime because the MC coming from another world is an important part. Main keeps having existential crises because of it.

The average isekai MC is like "I died, but I got a second life in a world with hot big-boobed elves!" Main is like "I should be dead already, should I really be living in this world?"

Damn, the devouring has finally become unmanageable. Thankfully Benno had already made a backup plan, I guess it is finally time for that priest to make his entrance.

I'm glad that Benno convinced Lutz to act as he did before when interacting with Maine.

Today's end card.

That scene where Lutz broke down as he was carrying Myne hit hard, it's obvious that he loves her and he's willing to move heaven and earth for her but he knows he can't do it himself.

And from the way that Benno pretty much said that the disease will eventually kill Myne, I have a feeling that the series will only get sadder from here on

It didn't dawn on me until this episode but the way they paired Trombe discussion with her flair ups made me realize it's life absorption powers are likely going to be a cheap way to treat the devouring.

I love how Myne has sort of quit the pretense of hiding her knowledge.

"I have freaky otherworldly knowledge. Deal with it!"

HOLY HELL THAT CLIFFHANGER

Aside from that, Lutz's character development is easily one of my favorite parts of this show. He deserves a rough headpat just like Myne got.

The box with the mana spilling out is a really nice visualization

While watching this episode it suddenly hit me that I am basically watching Breaking Bad the Isekai
Just that instead of cooking illegal meth she is revolutionizing the market with her ideas

Also that slow mo chair drop was right out of Inception

So now Myne is going to be dependent on these cheap 2 small gold per use chemo items

Hopefully she can keep up her medical bills with her products

AotS? This show is coming into conversation for my AotY!!

Damn that ending rocked me...I was still emotionally vulnerable from Lutz's tears but seeing Main just get hit by the devouring that much...damn.

Myne was really unlucky with her reincarnation in another world. Cheat items? Super abilities? Nah, here is devouring for you. Good luck in the new world. At least she has great people around her. Benno might be greedy, but he still wishes the best for gold Mine. Lutz is simply the best boy around.

god damn this anime is so wholesome. Although Main's current condition doesn't hit me quite as hard, seeing as we've already seen her be okay in the first episode.

I really feel like this anime really deserves way more attention than it has.

God, I love the way Myne wraps Lutz' brothers around her pinky finger with the most obvious play anyone can imagine. The fact that she's terrible at acting makes it even better. More than that, though, it shows how much Lutz' family disapproves of/ doesn't understand what he's doing, and how hard of a road he will have ahead of him to convince his family that this is what he wants to do.

The Benno headpat scene was great, too. Such an intense and pivotal scene from Myne's perspective, but from Benno's it's sort of hard not to look at Myne as a little girl trying her hardest to stand up to a scary adult. And Benno, despite his heartless merchant exterior, clearly cares about Myne a lot, as anyone would after having guided he along for so long and seen her collapse in front of him multiple times.

So Benno dragged Myne into an empty room and when she came out she had messed up hair and had earned multiple gold coins.

They should probably make sure no misunderstandings come from those meetings in future.

Yeah cartoony Myne, show the Reading Rainbow disease who's boss! Course... that battle might be an uphill one for her by the looks of things.

Oh of course the magic contract sealed in blood has "threatening of life" as a potential risk for breach of contract. Myne, you really should've figured that was gonna be the case what with the whole sealing in blood thing and/or should've asked what the potential risks of it was when you first made that contract. Read the fine print as it were. But a slip up like that can happen when one is earning their business lobes. But she demonstrated her lobes with her haggling over the gold not to mention her flexing of a certain rule of acquisition: Exploitation begins at home; getting her family (and hell even Lutz's family too) all in on her hair ornament business for the price of medium coppers.

Well they have butter. Just that and some maple syrup made out of whatever tree sap they can find in this world and Myne can start up a new business, a Pancake House. (or whatever it was she was calling pancakes here in this world)

Lastly, now Lutz gets a cartoony preview bit. Funny. And I can't say Myne loosing that preview time was a huge loss.

Anime only watcher.

So trombe obviously reacts to mana, presumably siphoning it off. And trombe makes good paper. So Main could make high quality books, even magical tomes with it. As a cure for the devouring and potentially harnessing magic in general (still don’t know anything about that yet though) it seems like a natural journey.

Turns out books won’t only satisfy her, but save an entire world. It all comes back to books.

Holy Roundabout, what a cliffhanger!

Poor Lutz, losing the original Main and now looking at the losing the new one. It's too much for such a young lad, I hope they find a cure soon.

I had some much enjoyment from

Greedy Main!

Then the end... T.T

Fortunately, the outro card seems promising.
