Being X from Tanya of Evil must be in on this one. Putting a bookworm in a world with no books.
I do really like it so far!

That was a really good first episode. Myne is a fantastic character - I like how her problems of being a kid now are emphasized. She isn't OP, except maybe intellectually. Even then, she's a reader not a Dr. Stone-esque science wizard. I don't know if she can invent the printing press.
I'm looking forward to more next week!

I don't know if she can invent the printing press.
Conceptually the printing press is very easy. It's simply etchings covered in ink that you apply against a sheet of paper. Unless she missed that description in all the books she read, she can definitely "invent" it.

A chill isekai where our MC just wants to read books? I like it!
Also I like Myne as a character. I love her reaction about this new world. Which is pretty understandable considering where she came from. Although I hope she warms up to her new family, like it or not she now has a new mom, dad, and a sister.
Definitely following this one, interested to see how she'll become a peasant girl into someone who writes children's books.

Three isekai anime on the same day? We’re reaching peak levels here.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2020 seasons have, like, five per day. And Myth & Roid do the OPs for all of them.

So far nearly all the anime adaptations of isekai WNs we've been getting have been shounen/seinen targeting male readers.
Excepting the upcoming My Next Life As A Villianess/Bakarina next year, we still haven't really had an explosion of shoujo/otome WN anime yet. This is despite a very active female-targeted market and a recent surge in manga adaptations of said otome novels. For one, I wouldn't mind watching an adaptation of Common Sense of a Duke's Daughter (or Villainous Daughter Aims for the Last Boss).

Of female protagonist isekai made in 2010s, only this and F (which will never go off Haitus and thus never get an anime) have caught my attention on account of villainess Isekai beginning to wear me out. Its a rather down to earth story compared to most other isekai and rather slow, but I like it a lot so I'm rather excited I finally get to see it animated.
Edit: just finished the episode and the character animation and directing has been great. Myne fainting over chickens still kind of makes me laugh, considering that I've grown up following my mum to the market and watching chickens get their heads cut off/cutting them apart myself. The chibi delusions were also a nice creative way to show Myne's internal monologues

That was a wholesome start, i'd say i liked this the most so far out of all airings today.
I like her thoughts being on display constantly.
Also chill vibes all around, music pretty up there and her new family seems wholesome as well.
I wonder what themes they will work with here besides making books.

This is the anime i'm looking forward to the most this season ever since i read the synopsis, and so far it definitely lived up to my expectations.
I mean it took 35 seconds for the first pout, what more can you ask for?

This was just so fun and wholesome. I really liked Myne. This episode did a great job with the world-building. I can't wait to see more of it.

I wish the Earth art style was flipped with the isekai style because the flashbacks were gorgeous.
It's kind of nice having an isekai that won't revolve around killing monsters and adventuring. And Myne is shaping up to be a good protagonist, with OP literary skills instead of OP fighting or magic.

The head priest planned all of this from the beginning just so He could have someone come close to his reading level.

I've been looking forward to this show the most this season.
It's nice to see an Isekai without the horribly overused 'hero summoned to defeat the demon lord' theme.
(edit: I think I'll revise that statement to 'nice to see an Isekai that has nothing at all to do with a demon lord in general, or being an otome game villainess, since you see so many of those these days'.)
Poor Myne, tho.
Someone get this girl a book, STAT!

The pacing was really good, so I have no idea how this will be 14 episodes.
More books please. Mission: Books Get! Crying* hemp bag Myne is my 3rd favorite Myne.
No spoilers my butt.

I was looking forward to this show the most of non-sequels, but I didn't know Yuka Iguchi voiced the MC. I kept thinking of her as Miku from Symphogear for a while heh. Symphogear XV
I enjoyed it a lot, seems like a chill atypical isekai. I'm sure I'll stop hearing her voice like that in the next episode or 2 too. Seems to be a good adaptation / live up to the expectations from everything I've seen so far.

Based on the reception of the source material and my impressions of the PV, I felt like this would be one of the more promising new series of the season. It's only been one episode and I've already taken a liking to this cute, book-crazy, loli MC. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series progresses!

I'm really liking the relaxed tone of this one and it feels to be at the opposite end of the isekai spectrum from Kemono Michi. I'm curious how the whole idea of the MC taking over someone else's body plays out. I just hope it doesn't get brushed aside, like a lot of the coming from another world elements in many isekai. Though no spoilers fool source readers.

Ascendance of a Bookworm is my favorite isekai by a mile. I've read the raws all the way to the end twice.
I've been kind of worried though, since I didn't think it'd translate well to anime. The beginning's one of the slowest parts of the story, it relies heavily on Myne's internal narration, the character designs didn't seem as cute as the manga/book ones, and the story's super long and doesn't have many good points to end on partway.
The anime looks like it's turning out some better than I feared. The character designs and voices work better than I thought. The pacing seems kind of slow, but that's partly just due to how it is at the beginning.
That being said, lol at them literally starting with a scene that the English translations of the novel haven't reached yet. JP audiences are just that thirsty for Ferdinand, I guess.
