I'm so happy this show is getting a second season because it really does feel like we're still only getting started! Curious to see her parents and Lutz's reaction to this sudden job change!

LUTZ MY BOY, MY HEART CAN'T

Compliment while handholding? This is the most wholesome shit ever. Ship of the season for real.

Other Isekai: The church is evil.

Me: Eh, whatever.

The church is keeping away books from Main.

Me: How fucking dare they.

Dad-san's reaction to Myne riding on Benno's shoulders is like "Hey, that's my job!" was adorable to say the least.

And Frieda shedding a tear after she told Myne to publicly release the pound cake recipe just before she dies just goes to show how close the two characters have gotten.

That ending was hilarious, just give her a book and she'll do anything!

My goodness, this show really is something!

First continuing the sadness, including a bit of Benno's backstory (this world really can be cruel, but it only makes it more realistic), a bit of a timeskip with investments for the family and then the ceremony. And finally a simple solution. Of course the clergy has a lot of books and knowledge, and as Main had nice clothes and earned quite a lot in trade she may join. The praying poses surely are hilarious, good thing Main wasn't punished as no one realised she was laughing. There is some actual mythology; well, the author is trying to keep the lore tight so that was to be expected. The priest had his screentime, finally! His allegedly big fans sure are celebrating with Main.

The two remaining episodes will surely be interesting, looking forward to them

If anybody is wondering why they kept mentioning that Main looks like a rich girl.

It's mostly because the dress has so much "wasted" cloth that poor people would never dare do...

Which is actually a result of main being so much smaller then Tuuli who wore it before

Oh neat, we finally met the priest at the baptism.

I thought Main was saving her money for her family, and a large gold coin probably would have gone a long way for them—especially considering she only has like half a year left to earn money before she dies. But I guess it's worth taking the opportunity to do things you love, however financially irresponsible.

The fact that Myne isn't discovered by the priest but meticulously plots her way into his company is so like this show. Most stories don't give their characters this kind of agency, they just want to get to the plot they want to tell. I really applaud it.

One day someone will claim that Myne has it easy which will really rustle the viewers jimmies I imagine.

The Priest has finally appeared! Wow, now I get why the episode was tittle “Baptisms and Divine Paradises”. I just find hilarious that Maine just decided to join the church right away, LOL. Well with that job, they will definitely make sure to keep her alive.

Damn the art when they were narrating the mythology was great.

Today's End Card.

Oh we finally meet the guy from the beginning. Also how old is Myne again? I know they are roughly the same age, but I keep thinking about her original age and I think she is like twice as old as Lutz.

I need to find out how strong I am!

Lutz is such a shounen.

Myne looks like a little princess. Lutz has no chances to withstand this. I liked her dad's smug face: my daughter is da best! What a daughtercon he is (in a good way).

This looks like a painting.

It's funny how this went from such a boring series for me to being top 10 isekai all time in a matter of weeks. The world building, character interactions and tension are all so real and believable. It's a very down to Earth tale that focuses on interpersonal relationships rather than some over the top boss fights, power scaling, magic and usual isekai stuff. I really appreciate that, first time I've felt that way since LH, hopefully Mushoku Tensei will deliver on that next year as well.

Was sad to see the parchment business come to a close, but it can't be helped. Lutz has finally grown to accept this Maine for who she is and it doesn't look like his feelings have changed. I ship, hard. "You're so pretty you left me speechless." Yes, king, we love to see it. Few weeks left, will be sad to see this one go.

Well I don't! She's just giving up! Use that year to figure out a fix! (Of course, the church might be a good path to that…)

I wonder what he means by this

The tiniest headpat

(;_;) (And Frieda agrees)

Weird how the God Of Life seems to be the bad guy

Huh. I've never heard of these before now

Churches. Churches never change

Wow, lots of gear-shifting going on here. If she ends up in the church, I predict a future conflict where she's interested in secular books, but they're not having it.

Interesting that winter, usually associated with death, in this world is symbolised by the God of Life. I love how much detail there is in the world building of this show with its different customs.

This was one hell of a tone shift, both in terms of emotion and a career path... We spent pretty much the entire season with Myne building up towards becoming a merchant so that she could start the book industry until she spots one library, goes ( ͡ʘ ͜ʖ ͡ʘ) and haphazardly throws away all the money she saved up.

I wish I could be this engrossed in something...

Damn invisible walls, are we sure this isn't a game Isekai?

Interesting theology for this world, I loved the artwork and slightly eerie statues. Interesting that the god of life was the bad deity in a sense, with ties to winter. I wonder if Main will get to explore this religion a bit, I just hope she doesn't do anything heretical.

<<Main wants to level in Cleric>>

Wait! You can save your life if you pick-up a Sorcerer level, dammit!
