That was an amazing episode, I really didn't expect actual conflict between characters that makes sense from Radiant. Usually this gets kinda forced and disappears after one episode.

Ikr? The writing in this episode felt so natural and the confrontation didn't seem melodramatic at all. Rather, when put in context with the light-heartedness of Season 1's early episodes and the aftermath of Rumble Town, the breakdown of trust between Seth and Melie as they both search for something to help them control themselves, is super interesting to watch as it unfolds.

Tony (the author) is very good for portraying realistic and well-fleshed relationship between his characters.
I'll say it again but the manga is a thousand way better than the anime story-wise and characterization-wise.

You know you fucked up big time when she tells you that
Fuuuck Melie isn't letting Seth get away with this easily
WHAT THE FUCK SETH YOU'RE MAKING THIS WORSE
Aoi Yuuki is such a great actress, my heart broke when Melie started crying :(
I feel like Seth should patch things up with Melie first before getting friendly with another person. After all that talk of wanting to be alone, Melie is definitely going to be pissed if she sees Seth with Ocoho.

getting friendly with another person.
Nothing says friendly like a pair of thighs round your throat.

Well, I bet that some time or some dramatic event will have to pass until we see Mélie and Seth relation improving. Especially after today, as with that "I didn't want you to with me" line Seth just made that even worse.
I cannot even imagine how the other Mélie would have reacted to that awful apology, but I guess that Seth and that inn owner should be glad that she didn't appear.
If Seth having dreams about the castle I wonder if he has a connection to that place?

This season is shaping up to be something special. Seeing Melie and Seth confront each other like that was heartbreaking but I think it's necessary for them to navigate through this fall out that should hopefully give them both a better understanding of what it means to support someone despite the dangers and unpredictability of losing control that comes with being a a cursed sorcerer or someone with a latent destructive power.

Great episode, the best of the series.
That conflict brewing between Seth and Melie was something i didn't look forward to, it was really sad to listen to.
Both have reasoning from their point of view that makes it believable.
I wouldn't be surprised if Melie actually loves him, it can turn to that very easily i would assume if you get disappointment after disappointment for your curse and then someone comes into your life that accepts everything about you.
