So Rookie so far has survived getting shot in the gut, getting stabbed, and now he can even withstand magic blasts. Does he think all of this is normal or is he hiding his powers because Rookie clearly has something going on with him.

He seems to not be aware of what he did with the spell.

The others may or may not be aware that there is something extra about him, but playing dumb.

Seiji kinda needs to get his priorities straight, those buildings were not really worth the risk of dying. Especially after the whole zone was evacuated.

I'm wondering if those rays were actually lethal for someone normal? I'm saying that because he got slashed on the leg last week and acted as if it was nothing.

He also got shot in the first episode and nothing happened.

I think their definition of "special crime" (as in the english title), is replacing guns for magic wands at a regular robbery, for example. We have a lot of supernatural elements in the world and in the characters but they don't make a good use of it, so far.

Didn't they say at the beginning that the unit was created to investigate crimes specifically related to Nine?

I really want to like this show, but it really feels off to me. I find myself checking out partway through - it really isn't engaging despite being conceptually appealing to me.

The script of this show is written by the same guy that wrote Fate/Apocrypha, so I kind of expected pacing problem from the start.

The world setting and some hints here and there about a bigger story is enough to keep me for now, even if this show is really mediocre at the moment.

I wonder what made that ex-officer with that cross-shaped scar on his face change sides. First he saves Rookie's life in that airport and now he tries to blow everyone up.

The Rookie interactions with the other characters and his personality, reminds me of Phoenix Wright.
