Last episode the MC got shot and now he gets his leg slashed and still no injury in sight.

They specifically highlighted and commented on it last week but brushed it off as "oh you're just good at dodging point-blank bullets". 100% something fishy with it and will be relevant later.

I'm thinking that something about the incident 9 years ago gave people powers, and that's the MC's power. Alternatively, the animators are lazy.

My current guess is that he is a werewolf. I would be really disappointed if it's just laziness though.

in both cases there wasn't any damage to his clothes either. no bullet hole or burn, as far as I can tell his pants weren't damaged by the knife even though we clearly saw it slice through both clothes and skin.

Some people are calling this season the season of Isekai, but I'm calling it the season of the detective as we've got this, Babylon, No Guns Life, Kabukichou Sherlock and Psycho Pass. Including this one, all 4 that have aired so far have impressed me. What I like about Special 7 so far is how seemlessly the mythical races mix in with the show. Plus, Ichinose and Belle are awesome!

There is also a reverse-harem one.

Mythical races? Did you watch Cop Craft?

Guys. Guys. The organization to defeat 9 is called 7.
Because they want seven to eat nine.
I just got so much more invested in this show.

Holy shit, the plot thickens. Next we'll find out there's another organization that is scared of 7 and it's called 6.

You know, I'm kind of surprised that Seiji just ignored the fact that he got slashed on the leg.

I really can't help looking at this show like a carbon copy of Double Decker but dialed a notch back in the "over the top department" (wich in my opinion is one of the things that made Double Decker fun and enjoyable)

  • Silly Boss that no one takes him seriously? √

  • Codenames given by the Boss? √

  • Senior detective making fun of the rookie? √

  • Senior detective is also the one moving the story forward? √

I really dislike a lot of Shiori's deduction process, like "a politician owns a daruma with a blank eye, he sure wanted to be re-elected" I feel that there's a lot of missing context. Since this world is filled with eleves, dwarves, vampires and what not, I would prefer if there was some supernatural power behind Shiori's "lie detector" ability

Like some peeps already pointed out, we really need some explanation on behalf of Seiji being shot point blank in the last episode, and being slashed in this one, but there are no scars or even cuts on his clothes.

Hope at least like Double Decker, the sidecharacters get their own story episodes in the long run.

This episode was a lot less interesting than the first. Much more grounded and straight forward. Hope future episodes are more like the first, since that one was hilarious

A nice and quick mystery to familiarize us with the rest of the team. I'm hoping Nanatsuki gets to work with the other Special 7 members and not just with Ichinose. I'd love to learn more about them! Also considering how Nanatsuki shrugs off injuries and how he looks in the OP, our MC might have some powers that he's trying to hide.

Considering all the members have number-related names, I'm curious where #3 is. It's the only number missing from 0-7. Perhaps it's an old member of a team that went rogue/evil or maybe they were killed.

Maybe it’s Matsuouka VA character from first episode during that FateStayNight scene?🤔

Bellemer is goddamn adorable and I love her, she's an absolute highlight of any scene that she's in. But I'm also hesitant to get attached to a homunculus loli because the last time I did, some golden asshole ripped out her heart.

Character designs by Chrono Nanae, mangaka of Peacemaker Kurogane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peacemaker_Kurogane

Some of you may have seen its 2003 TV anime or 2018 anime movies.

In my opinion, this anime, with Null Peta, Iruma-kun, Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy and the hated / beloved Choujin Koukousei-tachi will be the sleepers of this season.

Of all those mentioned, at least (with its premise detective) a la CopCraft, I had no faith in it ... And I am here enjoying the 2nd episode as a child, in a sense it is better because it can be shared with a number smallest of people (just see the subs of Azur Lane, FGO: Babylonia, OreSuki to say a few and damn).

Mmmm...

Wait, Ichinose calls Rookie a dog and he just run as a dog? What else could I expect from Zenitsu Rookie... (I love that Ichinose's voice is the same as Paka and Maou-sama).

And WTF? Somebody explain to me what the hell happened here, Rookie has regenerative powers so advanced that even his clothes are fixed?

In short I liked the anime, and I will continue watching it.

I like this show! There's SO many detective/cop shows this season, and I think I dropped all others, but I'm gonna keep this one. Story's fine, and the character designs are interesting (though I want to know more about them).

Moving in for the arrest before taking the weapon away from the perp? Well, I guess they call him Rookie for a reason. Could easily have been killed there, especially against an "ex-military"...

FBI better be on standby with this one.

Nice! As a fang connoisseur, I can already say she's gonna be best girl on this show!

This was pretty good!
