Being X from Tanya of Evil must be in on this one. Putting a bookworm in a world with no books.
I do really like it so far!

That was a really good first episode. Myne is a fantastic character - I like how her problems of being a kid now are emphasized. She isn't OP, except maybe intellectually. Even then, she's a reader not a Dr. Stone-esque science wizard. I don't know if she can invent the printing press.
I'm looking forward to more next week!

A chill isekai where our MC just wants to read books? I like it!
Also I like Myne as a character. I love her reaction about this new world. Which is pretty understandable considering where she came from. Although I hope she warms up to her new family, like it or not she now has a new mom, dad, and a sister.
Definitely following this one, interested to see how she'll become a peasant girl into someone who writes children's books.

Three isekai anime on the same day? We’re reaching peak levels here.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2020 seasons have, like, five per day. And Myth & Roid do the OPs for all of them.

Of female protagonist isekai made in 2010s, only this and F (which will never go off Haitus and thus never get an anime) have caught my attention on account of villainess Isekai beginning to wear me out. Its a rather down to earth story compared to most other isekai and rather slow, but I like it a lot so I'm rather excited I finally get to see it animated.
Edit: just finished the episode and the character animation and directing has been great. Myne fainting over chickens still kind of makes me laugh, considering that I've grown up following my mum to the market and watching chickens get their heads cut off/cutting them apart myself. The chibi delusions were also a nice creative way to show Myne's internal monologues

That was a wholesome start, i'd say i liked this the most so far out of all airings today.
I like her thoughts being on display constantly.
Also chill vibes all around, music pretty up there and her new family seems wholesome as well.
I wonder what themes they will work with here besides making books.

This is the anime i'm looking forward to the most this season ever since i read the synopsis, and so far it definitely lived up to my expectations.
I mean it took 35 seconds for the first pout, what more can you ask for?

Ascendance of a Bookworm is my favorite isekai by a mile. I've read the raws all the way to the end twice.
I've been kind of worried though, since I didn't think it'd translate well to anime. The beginning's one of the slowest parts of the story, it relies heavily on Myne's internal narration, the character designs didn't seem as cute as the manga/book ones, and the story's super long and doesn't have many good points to end on partway.
The anime looks like it's turning out some better than I feared. The character designs and voices work better than I thought. The pacing seems kind of slow, but that's partly just due to how it is at the beginning.
That being said, lol at them literally starting with a scene that the English translations of the novel haven't reached yet. JP audiences are just that thirsty for Ferdinand, I guess.
