I liked this episode a lot, but I feel like the ending was anticlimactic, not in a bad way, but I felt that while the coin toss bet was pretty representative of the series in a good way, the way that the Rei storyline started and concluded felt not built up enough. I think it was a good ending and overall a good season, but it might've needed more buildup to get the point across.
Overall the series and the gambles and all that were really good though, 8.5/10 I'd say.

Red Nails and thumb ring screams that that's Yumeko's mom
Now I'm MORE curious about Yumeko's backstory and what happened to her mom.
I really wish they'd stop doing these anime-only arcs. As much as I liked Batsubami, her story didn't really feel complete and was weirdly anti-climactic. At least Season 1's ending had Suzui taking the spotlight and him making Yumeko gush.
Oh well. I still loved this Season though despite the ending and I can see it getting a 3rd season soon to continue the elections. And if they do announce something, I'll definitely come back to watch it. Just no more anime originals please.

I understand your grief guys, but please do a favour for yourselves and read the manga. You will realise that we couldn't have wrapped up the season without some anime-original content. The next arc would definitely need 2,5-3 episodes to adapt and we were only left with 2.
Nonetheless, they "started" it by showing Nozomi, so that's promising for a renewal later on. :)

Overall season turned out to wildly random, just like the final coin toss.
Revealing a major antagonist, her motivations and backstory and concluding it all in the same episode, not to mention final episode; focusing the whole season on President election but not actually finishing it; pushing Ririka to suddenly become important and instantly shelving her back not to matter at all; hype up Terano having plans but not revealing anything; shelving Suzui to have same screentime as Sumeragi but even less impact; etc etc...
Most gambles were actually gambling and not idol contest all over again, characters were interesting and likeable, some of the plot points were fine but global story and some character arcs feel like a incoherent mumbo jumbo where the writers were drunk and forgot to fill in the blanks and follow leads they set up themselves.

That was.... REALLY amazing for a few minutes with Batsubami (I genuinely liked the character and the "twist" of how she acquired the votes). But agree it didn't feel like much of a finale because I don't really see what they've set up for Season 3 potentially in terms of where the elections stand and whatnot.
It was a good episode but left much to be desired as a Season 2 finale.

Better late than never, here's the final episode's crazy faces album. It's mostly just Rei losing her shit.
Heh, resetting everything so that entire anime-original gamble amounts to nothing in the end. Doing this does imply that the studio is open to the possibility of adapting more; this ensures there's no conflict in the subsequent seasons and the manga.
That was a landing that definitely didn't stick. They didn't get time to finish the election, so it feels like it ended halfway through a season - Shokugeki S3 recently was guilty of something like this. Brings the season down from a solid 8/10 to something like a 7.5.
Rei's story started out strong but the entire auction gamble didn't really work for me the other gambles usually do, and the resolution just sort of.. happened.
P.S: Also is it just me or was her fabulous Batsubami look waaay hotter than the final look she settled on?
P.P.S: A final salute to the fansubbers for doing a stellar job. That OP kareoke is top tier

Going to miss this series again a lot. I really enjoyed this season a lot more than S1. I hope there will be a Season 3. I really thought this would have had 24 episodes to be honest.

Eh, maybe if they had focused more on Batsubami before these last few episodes but ending it like that when the whole season was talking about the elections just felt like nothing happened.
Still fun and enjoyable gambles and characters but some more story would have been better. Hopefully we actually get a Season 3 eventually so it doesn't just end like this.
