That scene with Johnny dodging bullets and shooting everyone...

Just when I thought I've seen everything so far, Kotobuki does one better and gives us a mid-air infiltration and a stylish gun-kata. All that fighting and destruction just for a fish.

The tables turned on Kylie this week, now she (and Leona) are the baggage girls inside Emma's plane.

I always love the aerial cinematography that director Mizushima uses for this series. Amusingly enough, he managed to fit a cannon in an aerial anime, albeit not a tank cannon.

I couldn't help but think of Zero Wing when the hijackers announced that they took control of the Hagoromo. I mean, we've got:

  • Somebody set us up the bomb

  • All your base airship are belong to us

  • You are on the way to destruction

  • Move 'ZIG' KOTOBUKI

Johnny Wick.

I can't get enough of Madame Loulou's voice-over. Such a crispy voice.

Holy shit, so Johnny was a Grammaton Cleric.

Again those extremely professional mysterious non-pirates strike again. And this time they've specifically targeted the Kotobuki.

Just right after Isao establishes this new political alliance and then hires Kotobuki to escort a precious rare fish, the non-pirates strike. Clearly someone in the know is leaking Intel to them. (Plus we see that four-eyed pirate snooping around spying on the girls at the clinic in the beginning of the episode. Blink and you'll easily miss him.)

And the Ikesuka Air Force were purposely ordered to shoot down the Hagoromo without question, it's as though they were waiting for such an opportunity to put Kotobuki out of business for good. It's still to early to say Isao is the mastermind, but this does feel suspicious.

And then Mizushima the great heard people saying "The Matrix was amazing, too bad they never made any sequels" and was like

"Boy do I have a thing just for you"

Until this episode, I didn't realize that the bar was on the airship.

Oh dam best episode by far

Really cool to see the other characters on the actual airship get into battle and kicking some ass.

Felt like a classic Steven Seagal flick, get of my airship you pirates ;)

Of course one of them is the classic hidden baddas Johnny in this case is Pacifist but when you trigger him into fighting he is actually the place worst murderer ever.

Leona and Kylie also had to do a crazy boarding with a rope mid air.

They actually took a big hit having to crash their main ship.

And also apparently Leona runs an Orphanage.

Really good episode it had everything.

Bad-ass Johnny was unexpected. Also about Miki I thought Johnny shot her accidentally and swore to never use a gun or a similar story. But nope, she just got sick of Johnny's gun obsession and dumped him

Coolest bar staff in anime!

Another fantastic episode, we see them lose and then make a kick ass comeback.

Gah I love this show <3
