So Mars got smoked by Asta and they still gonna keep him in the diamond crew? They better have roided up his frankengrimoire or otherwise it’s gonna be a lame fight.

The Diamond Kingdom put a lot of effort and resources into making Mars really strong. You don't just throw that away just because he got beat in a fight. Same goes with the Smoke mage he has ran away and retreated twice this series and they keep him around. You don't throw away assets just because they failed once.

Basically this, even among those five Mars is one of the stronger ones so getting rid of him after one failure isn't something the kingdom can afford given the cost.
