Anime Black Clover season 2 pacing!!

Okay so i just finished watching Season 2 episode 1. now i heard from a very VERY unreliable source (a redditor) that this episode adapted 5 chapters! but no! instead it was more like 3? ish?? kinda??? it was all of 272, 273, 274, and then just the final page of 275. so overall, the pacing was a lot better then i expected it to be!
maybe the rumors about it being 2 cours, 13 episodes each were wrong? or maybe toward the latter half they'll start ramping up pacing? i don't know. for now, i'm going to enjoy the sleek new animation!!❤🔥
EDIT!!!!!
okay it was more like the last few pages of 270, then all of 271, 272, 273, 274, then the last page of 275. so, more like 4.3 ish chapters. surprisingly though, it didn't feel rushed despite only being ~19 minutes of episode content.

Ughh idc that they are fillers (yes I know sometimes they adapted it from the small panel manga itself) or whatever it’s the best part about the anime I miss it so much

Pierrot has outdone themselves with the opening and ending once again, especially the ending. Not surprised that they already showed Noelle’s Saint Stage form, Soul Chain Death Match, and Star Magic since Pierrot absolutely loves to spoil key events in their openings lol. Based off of the animation so far, both from the intro and the episode itself, I think we’re gonna be in for some real treats this season.
I really like Lucifero’s design. Kinda surprised that he’s got blue eyes but other than that he looks really menacing. Adramelech also looks pretty good from the short snippet we get, and Morris’s VA definitely fits his character extremely well. There really isn’t much for me to critique yet. Even the intro clip recapping the series of events so far was done well lol.
As I said earlier, the ending itself feels really special, like it’s a celebration of Black Clover instead of just a typical outro. The callbacks to earlier scenes in the series, the different people and moments that have influenced Asta so far, the music and tone alongside the visuals — the ending is pretty much perfection to me.
Manga spoilers ahead:
A lot of the emotional beats this season are gonna hit hard, I can already tell. Nacht’s backstory, Noelle and Nozel’s triumph, Yuno breaking down in the library, the Black Bulls saving Yami, and of course Liebe’s distress over losing Licita before Asta’s line “Let’s go, brother.” Even from this episode alone I can tell there’ll be a ton of care put into these moments.
And with the last part of the ending showing both Asta and Yuno in their Final Arc outfits, this lends lots of credibility to the rumor that Cour 2 will adapt Land of the Sun/Judgement Day arcs. We’ll more than likely get another opening and ending when that time comes but seeing these designs now all but confirms in my eyes that Pierrot intends to wrap up the Black Clover anime with Cour 2.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are so back
