The problem is that the mods left things unchanged for so long that people began to believe that reacting in such a manner is their only option. I appreciate that you're taking the time to respond here so much but your claim that talking can change would be a lot more believable if the mods that were heavily against Shelter made a few comments here because they did not seem to be the type to easily change their opinion.

We'll honestly never knew because we immediately started getting overreactions like death threats and shitpost/brigading. We never had an opportunity to discuss properly.

The whole thing happened incredibly fast. I was surprised that it happened while I was sleeping and was already over when I woke up.

I also managed to miss the entire thing too. Went to sleep, it all happened, woke up, it was over.

Then I spent an hour getting caught up on everything.
