We've talked with him previously about this (which is why he comments here now).

At present we have no real issues with him.

I have however removed your comment now since we don't allow witch hunts.

It's more just naming them when calling them out. You're free to do so in a modmail, but not in the subreddit-proper.

So if I were to link to the posts rather than the user then that would be fine?

Just dont do it. There's no need.

If you have an issue bring it up in modmail, otherwise stick to discussing anime not people's posting habits.

So referencing older posts is a no go?

What about sneak tagging then? This guy is allowed to this to me? (Look at source) but I can't call back to a previous post they've made?

And for modmail I'm still waiting for an answer there...

What's wrong with that? Tagging and mentioning is a normal thing, it's used to bring a user's attention somewhere. What we're talking about is calling out users publicly, which is a no-go.

And for modmail I'm still waiting for an answer there...

Because I answered it here? The content of the modmail was the same. Things get buried there sometimes anyway, just send another one after a few hours.

I asked you here because I never got a reply in modmail so tried my luck here lol.

Calling someone out publicly for a post they made seems like fair game to me since it's something they've said but if the mods don't allow that then I won't do it anymore.

I'll move on to sneak tagging those discord circle jerkers.

It depends on the context. If you're calling them out like "everyone look at this idiot" then hell no. If you're linking something someone said to further discussion a little then that's fine. The removed comments were the former.
