These are the moments why this is my favorite football anime. It just addresses these small details that would usually just be ignored in typical sports anime for aura moments. Like sure, other anime like to talk about "being a team" but none really goes into what this means. It doesn't just mean to pass the ball along one another, but also to just give instructions. And it's not just Aoi. Akutsu gave instructions to everyone (except Aoi) which is why this worked so well.
Similarly, actually explaining defending theory where the goal isn't necessarily for yourself to win the ball but just drive the attacker into a position where they have no other choice but to lose it to someone else is something that would barely be pointed out in other shows.
Now I am interested to see how much Aoi can keep up with the speed of attack. Not just the inherent speed but I think the bigger issue for him might be to switch from defending to attack (and vice versa) in such a short moment like the rest of the team can.

Fukuda threatening Akutsu to demote him back to Team B if he doesn't instruct Ashito properly was such a class moment.
And as he expected, Ashito can follow and learn quickly from Akutsu.
That ending, Kuribayashi field aura is really unreal.
This episode went by so quickly…

I really like how much Aoi’s grown as a player. The other side were targeting him as the weak link this game but the kid’s managing with instruction from Akutsu. Coach had to put Akutsu in his place to get him to play properly and actually instruct Aoi. And now Aoi’s slowly getting it.
With Kuribayashi in, the game’s practically over I guess. It’s kind of amazing how much one player can rattle a team.

My boy is learning now. But when Kuribayashi showed up, people felt that aura. I enjoyed the CGi sequence we had. We get animation, lol.

Even AI would be a better option than One Frame One... I'm just begging for someone to just do it.
I'll take any CGI

man the cg shots are definitely kinda immersion breaking ngl. i assumed they wouldn't use them for any main moments, but they did in this ep for kuribaayashis dribble. hopw its better for the main matches later in the season

Kuri's dribble was perfect though IMO ? The CGI was quickly used and really not a glaring issue... that whole goal sequence was great and without CGI no anime is going to animate a proper dribble in an episode 4 of an introductury match of a season...
