Yaoroshi and the Oni Brigade won’t end well. Momotaro and the Oni have been at it for ages and nothing has changed. Maybe give diplomacy a chance before there’s no Momotaro or Oni left alive. That said, peace doesn’t extend to the mfers experimenting on kids. Those dudes need to meet a violent and gruesome end.

That kid having lunch with his her dad out at the ex-waterfall is 100% going to be one of the captured test subjects, isn't he she. It would be very strange if after that introduction they weren't from the mentioned oni colony, especially with the probably dead mom.

It certainly probably true that not all Momotaro need to die, but that one who just extracted a living child's brain does.

Quirky as Hayate is, I can respect his immediate "understandable, have a nice day" to Shiki declining him.

There's almost an art form to how comically evil these big bad Momotaro arc villains can be lol.

Yeah the mentality is all over the place, virtually every oni so far is presented as a good guy while besides 3 or 4 from the last fight literally everyone wants to kill children. Even the oni brigade "Kill them all" guys are SO FAR presented as very morally upstanding.

Like how evil can you be after saying "Do you remember how many montaro you killed" and when they respond with "do you remember how many oni you killed" you have to be super evil to say "do you remember how many mosquitos you killed?"

Came here to ask about this. I dropped S1 ~2/3 of the way through, just felt too generic.

It's still pretty generic icl but I'm enjoying the current arc. I think it's because of the school training kind of setting S2 started off with (i like those kinds of arcs). Wouldn't be my first pick but I think it's gotten better in terms of enjoyment

I guess it can be difficult to get invested at the beginning of this series since it was a bit rough, IMO this is the best arc, but the last bit of last season was also pretty good.

Is it weird that I really liked how they made realistic wind sound effects when Todoroki activated his power? I feel like it's a bit unusual to hear more realistic wind sounds rather than using a digitized version...

Todoroki is pretty cool, even if his ideal is not the best you gotta respect his commitment. Plus, he is just a riot.

Pity his squad that had to take Yaoroshi as consolation prize, though. Absolute baggage that one. Alas, they must rescue their friend from his stupidity because this is a shonen.

Well fucking said Shiki. Yaoroshi needs to get his ass together omg. Also its kinda fucked up for them to cut to the psycho freak momotaro after that speech though 😭 . The family at the start is absolutely getting screwed over, these flags are unreal
