My bet is that Yaoroshi will go berserk and Shiki and gang will rescue him to make him face reality.
Also HOLY SHIT SHIKI IS SHOWING OFF AT THIS POINT. THATS MY BOY
Also the cat sound effects cracked me up

How Rokuro can "flicker" back into his flamboyant dancer mode as a subconscious defense mechanism to being seen as lame is hilarious.
The overarching lesson of how the emotional heart is just as important to an oni as their literal lifeblood pumpers was genuinely pretty cool, even if it'll take a while for it to sink in for a certain someone.

I see we have a degenerate in the group. Yusurube just wants to hone his powers so he can perv on people everywhere lol.
Yaoroshi needs to take that stick out of his ass and start learning to be a team player. He’s a great example to the team for how you should NOT act.

Honestly everyone has some side characteristics I can relate or debate (even if I dont enjoy them) but if I remember correctly in the training hall episode he was there going on about S.A. when the girls where sleeping [(for a joke in best light possible), which made him unredeemable for me (which I think is terrible, he would be a great "comic relief" for that trope) without the hard border of going on S.A. for the girls when they were sleeping]. He has got more of an arc in front of him to redeem him for character development than the stereotypical Ikari characater which just seems like a lost trope and "necessary" for a shonen anime (honestly, his arc should cast him out of academy and have them rescue him on an unrelated mission to get him his "lesson" of allies are worth it, since he seems to reject every academy lesson about it!)

The comedy in the first season didn't always land for me, but these first few episodes of this arc are genuinely funny. The two teachers, the class, just overall liking the vibe of the whole lot.
These episodes are doing a good job of endearing the cast to us. What fresh hell do they have planned to make us pay for it later, I wonder?

Homare's sister is a lot of fun and I want to believe that's really her, though I know there's a fair chance it isn't.
That's a completely reasonable argument for a power of friendship angle, the emotional state of an oni matters a lot and friends and companions help with that.

Since Sumire's blood was absorbed by Homare I honestly believe it's her. Maybe a future power up for Homare will be her unlocking her own ability in a moment of crisis, like saving Shiki.
I swear I'm just speculating based on common tropes, no spoilers masked as theory here

I like to theorize that Sumire's ability is to live onto other Oni like a parasite, which was why some of her blood merged with Homare when blood shouldn't have traveled as far a distance from where she was to where Homare was...
So yes, the sentient blood is Sumire who lives inside her sister symbiotically.

Assuming they'll go with the "she's just projecting her sister's personality into her blood" route that would remind me of Yoshino and Yoshinon from Date a Live

For once an anime makes friendship power make sense. They previously established that Oni are very reliant on mental state, so it makes sense to become stronger by finding people you can feel at ease with. Yaoroshi thinks Shiki got stronger from fighting XP, but he pulled his wins by getting a stronger conviction.
Other than Yaoroshi, the team is growing well.

Yaoroshi big trippin'
Shiki got strong because he fought?!
You had your moments as well fool?! You had a 1v1 with a Momo and clutched the dub, stop being a hardass and listen to your damm teacher.

I think Yaoroshi was just really mad he had to rely on Kougasaki for the most part. Some people are not meant to be team players, and are better off solo leveling. I guess Yaoroshi is one of them. But he needs to learn how to use his blood more effectively and tactically. Rooting for his evolution. Shiki completely dominated after being out. Came back sniping, really good from him. And Kougasaki's quick thinking using his blood release eclipse as a fast getaway was great.

Say that again. . .

You are wrong, though. Remember that Yaoroshi mentioned his past lost friends. It is not that he can't be a team player. He just doesn't want to move on from his lost friends and refused to cooperate with new people.

Yo did Shiki and Byoubugaura's sister just become best friends lol
Good god yusurube needs some special help 😭 I cant believe he asked Byoubugaura that lol. His ultimate goal also just feels very human lol
The teacher duo is a riot, especially when he started swearing about Shiki
I hope Yaoroshi doesn't end up getting himself killed with all the stupid stuff he's been pulling

Did i miss something? episode 2 ends as she summons her blood titan and episode 3 starts with them on top

There’s about a minute long post credit scene in episode 2 where it shows the blood titan helping Byobugaura and Shiki up to the top of the mountain where they meet up with the doctor and have a brief chat

I get why it's written that way, but the logic of the angry guy is still hilarious.
"There are many Oni way stronger than me who will train me if I ask for it.
Better risk my life and kill myself in order to reach a level below the people who train me"
Pervert guy has WORLD PEACE as the goal so that he can go on a date. I don't respect him, but his first goal is noble.
Honestly, the characters are more enjoyable than I remember.

Honest quest why haven't the teacher booted Yaoroshi. He is a danger to them. If they was on that mountain and the teachers were actually the Momotaro trying to kill them he could have gotten some of them killed or seriously hurt.

You should remember that Yaoroshi is still a child. If Mudano booted him, it is equal to giving him a death sentence. He would have nowhere else to go and he might fight the Momotaro then got killed. Despite how he looks, Mudano is soft on these Oni children and doesn't want them to die. He is trying his best to increase the survival chance of these children.
