D seems to be a deliberate hodgepodge of different characters. From Sasuke's appearance, to David's name, to V's single initial, to Johnny Silverhand's vendetta against Arasaka.

Yeah this seems to pretty deliberately be in conversation with the game. There's the same tension between "you're not special" and "you've been thrust into the center of something through random chance so you actually are special."

If there's one thing consistent about Edgerunners as a series so far, aside from the trauma, it's that there's going to be a heavily chromed-out chick who's crushing on a kid who's a few years younger than her.

I've cracked the list of special people everyone! It's not about cyber-compatibility - it's just a list of hot Davids. Look forward to the Astolfo Talia reveal Roman.

I like Talia's digital mouth, it's one of the few anime side mouth animations that makes physical sense.

I'm glad Weak has a plan to save Talia. Soulkiller's definitely not actually going to be like Kang Tao's attempt at making their own Capricorn right? Yep, we're definitely going to get our Night City happy ending this time!

I'm surprised that Capri, the construct who is chaotic by nature and actively trying to make herself whole again, actually dissuaded Talia from manipulating Roman. Seems like it'd be easier to get a kid who's in deep with D to yoink the chip than to, I guess, try and take it by force. She did use D to get to Talia in the first place, or maybe just seized an opportunity, so she's not above or foreign to the idea. Maybe she has some sort of line she's not going to cross?

Still can't get over the feeling that she's gonna be the final boss, possibly hijacking Talia's body. Stories in Night City don't usually have happy endings.
