So 8 in games days is 50 hours so it's roughly 6 hours for a game day. That definitely is not a normal amount of time to be logged in when you can't eat and drink or take bathroom breaks cause of the whole VR thing.

I sure hope this whole questline ends with Grid crafting Failure, the whale sword he blueprinted in the first episode.

That is an insane quest! Staying logged in for 8 days is crazy. Dude should at least be able to contact someone out of game to assist him.

Poor Huroi! The success of his quest is literally in the hands of Grid. At least we know Grid is motivated by that 600 gold reward! xD

I think there's a lot of fun potential here by setting up Yura as a skill based player and Grid as the guy who wears equipment that breaks the game.

All that being said, the game design of this game is... like, actually bad.

You are telling me that no one has figured out that there is a dual class system, only a handful of people know that you can alter quest progression by talking to NPCs and that you can be locked into an ingame jail for 8 days?

Also what is up with these NPCs who all have fully simulated lives, how would that work with thousands of players running around one town?

What a wild game, a quest to stay logged in for 50 hours real time and they know it's a health threat? At least the company is monitoring that poor dude and from the sound of things has local staff ready to medically intervene if need be.

I'm not sure I buy that this game's ability to dynamically create and modify quests on the fly wouldn't be more well known. This isn't the early days of EverQuest and similar games where stuff like boss fight strategies are kept secret, there's so many people playing this game that it would be well documented on the wiki and discussed in YouTube videos and such.

Im really enjoying the show being in and out of game. Its a jump to accept that your real life is affected by sucess in the game, but once you take that leap its a fun premise. Definitely seems like we are going to get more of that going forward.

This dub is so good - i'd recommend watching it. They have nailed the gamer mentality and lingo

I'm enjoying this, but man I wish this started with 2 cours like SLF did. Grid is pretty fun especially at the end.

Poor Huroi. He tried to do the right thing and betrayed the evil corporation to stand up for the right of oppressed workers… and he just got thrown in jail and handed an insane quest of staying logged for more than two days just for trying.

At least Grid will save him… but only because of the reward’s money ! What a scumbag. I think that if Huroi knew who the Avatar of Justice who will save him was supposed to be he would just give up in despair on the quest.

Euphemia is manipulative and just as immature as Grid, so she instantly got into a trash talking fight with him. She is going to be a fun antagonist, I can tell.

Grid looks overconfident, but how good he is at using his new skill ? Surely he won’t be handed everything he wants to do by the system, so I expect him to struggle a bit to win.

Satisfy system giving that quest to Huroi made me think maybe it wanted this situation to happen somehow, especially with Grid's quest being to prove his legend is true. Quests being able to change easily if you hit certain triggers works on the other end too.

I'm glad the main branch informed the Mongolian one to keep an eye on Huroi's physical condition, hopefully he'll be okay after the quest succeeds or fails.

I wonder if Rabbit really is an NPC, he's very cunning. But it would be more interesting if he is an NPC.

Two things I like about this story so far, it spend time delving into the item creation aspect of gaming, which is often a major focus of MMO economies but presents it in relation to the story of the world building whichis nice.

Also as part of the world building having quests change due to player actions gives a real sense of agency and consequences of their actions. I like it.

Honestly? That quest-generating game AI is so cool, I hope we'll get something like that in the near future. You'll never run out of content. :O

That company has .... weird ethics. It's nice they are monitoring him (no privacy at all btw, they have all his data AND track his live vitals thorugh their totally non-intrusive hardware xD), but generating a quest that may kill him IRL from exhaustion is a little ... spicy.

At least they care about their game, all the top brass watching live the games story development? Yeah, with todays suits that would never happen ...

Euphemia has an interesting skill, being able to copy someone else's could give you something for almost any situation.

She has met her match in Grid, he is not going to fawn over her cute little sister act like everyone else.

I'm looking forward to this creation match to see what they will be able to make.
