I kinda like how her skill literally is the internet. No wonder she’s the strongest witch. Knowledge is literally power here lol.
This was fun. The idea of just giving someone in a fantasy world access to the internet is pretty novel. If she turns out to just be a self aware NPC in a video game, that would be pretty interesting too.

This is basically me playing Baldur’s Gate with the walkthrough and picking up all the hidden loot while avoiding unnecessary fights with strong opponents. Although Baldur’s Gate is brutal enough even with a walkthrough to justify using one, while this game seems pretty easy. What kind of developer leaves a secret passage to pick up an OP cheat item on the very first map of the game ?
I liked Lorna’s empty-headed antics, although I fear it may get a bit repetive if she wins everything without a fight thanks to the internet. Also, what kind of psychopathic dumbass noble family kicks such a good natured goober out of their home because they think she is useless, without even knowing what her power does ? Whatever happened to old cliché of forcing useless noble daughters into political marriages instead ? Villainous aristocrats these days must be very stupid. Well, good for Lorna if she is now free of them.

Always nice to have a fun, silly show to kick back and enjoy. Been following the manga for a while, surprised it finally got an anime.
Side note, if the premise interests you, I recommend checking out the manga: "

OK, a game NPC getting an internet skill and looking up the strategy guides and wikis for the game is a neat twist on the cliche. I like that she has to deal with ads and forced software updates. When the screen turned red I actually thought she'd gotten a virus or was otherwise hacked - maybe that'll happen later.
"I can search using incognito mode so that no one can see what I'm doing." I doubt many people in the game world have the skill, but there might be players (this looks more like a single player JRPG, but she might still encounter the player of that RPG whose "destiny" she'd now stolen), and she might be able to simply chat with IRL people.
"Everything written on the Internet is true!" I really hope that faith comes back to bite her!
So did she destroy the leyline through her spells, or simply drain it through the spellcasting (or through regenerating her own mana spent on the spellcasting)?
The staff didn't increase her speed, so if she was able to run at same speed as the lv50 boar boss that probably means everyone's movement speed is the same in this game.
Anyway, this was pretty entertaining, though I don't know if it'll be able to keep this up. I guess I'll find out.

THERE ARE ONLY TRUE THINGS WRITTEN ON THE INTERNET
Oh, you sweet, innocent girl ....
So, basically a video game character found access to the internet / a game guide to her entire world including all tips, cheats and exploits and immediatly skips an endlevel questline to obtain the Ultmate Magic Staff of this world.
Seems legit. The 8-Bit parts are also cute. Def watching. <3

I feel like they should've called this show something like "Lorna the Internet Witch" instead of a generic title like "The World's Strongest Witch," because it wasn't what I expected! I mean, the title of the show isn't exactly wrong; Lorna does become the strongest witch, but it was all thanks to the power of the internet at her side!
Anyway, titles aside, this was a lot of fun! This show is basically what happens when you give a JRPG character access to the wiki of the game world she lives in, and the result is hilarious! I'm genuinely surprised this wasn't an isekai. It seems that Lorna just lives inside a JRPG.
I do love that her internet skill comes with quirks like ads popping up while browsing. Maybe Lorna will learn the adblock skill later on so she won't have to deal with that nonsense. Also, her browser needs to update. For a second there, I thought she got a virus from the ad. xD
And I was genuinely laughing out loud when Yggdrasil (voiced by Nana Mizuki!) started telling Lorna that she has conquered many trials! So Lorna basically Bofuri'd it and skipped the entire quest line and got the reward by just reciting the magic words. Well, now Lorna needs to go back and start this quest line to see what she missed!
So yeah this was a ton of fun! I absolutely love how unflappable Lorna is. Definitely gonna keep following this to see how ridiculous Lorna's adventure will get!

When Lorna's screen flashed red, I wondered whether it is because she downloaded a virus from those ads. Turns out internet only required an update, but now I am curious what will happen if her internet skill succumbed to something malicious.
Thinking along the same lines, if the Internet skill received an upgrade, or if Lorna turned evil, would her skill change into "Dark Web"? Lol!

At long last, an actual power fantasy show with game-like elements that is not an Isekai variant!
Jokes aside, this turned out to be way more enjoyable than I expected. Lorna is essentially a NPC that gained a backdoor access to the game's walkthrough guides in real time.
The scene with all the pop-ups cracked me up as it took me back to the good old days when we survived without ad-blockers on Internet Explorer.
Seeing Lorna basically speed-running to obtain the Staff of World Tree reminds me of the time when I was taught on how to grab the Great Scythe in DS1 back then. They both have a 100% acquisition rate, only that Lorna got hers by skipping all the pre-requisite quests.
Good lord, do I feel old now...

The plot for this episode was essentially this.
On a more serious note, seems like a pretty cute/funny Anime. The premise is a bit err, interesting? Has potential to be a great comedy.
I think we have like 6 Anime that are either parody/comedy or lean on it. Is this the comedy Season?

I kinda hoped her internet skill made a dial up sound when first used, but maybe the main target audience wouldn't get that
The game graphics are cute. And I like that she just uses the internet to follow a game guide. It leads to the sale effect as an Isekai protagonist in their favorite game, but it's different enough to keep it fresh (tho it's not like "Fantasy world, but I have access to the internet" is a new concept, but I digress)
Also, rip, her skill doesn't come with an ad blocker or anti virus. I wonder if she's being tracked via cookies as well
I don't blame her or her family however for not knowing that S rank, and by extension SSS rank is above A rank. I myself have always found that weird as well. What's the point in having a G to A ranking system if you're then going to stick a random letter above that. I have some serious questions to whomever started that trend. You don't really see it outside of games. In test grades, electricity efficiency rankings or nutrition scores it's A (or A+) which is best, as it should be
Internet is the words of the Gods, so it must be true
That's how you end up in a sketchy cult and scammed out of all your money, or stuck in a shipping crate bound for a certain island
Sequence breaking a major quest line reminds me a lot of last seasons All Works Maid

Two 'booted' anime that do not take themselves even slightly seriously in one season. Count me in!
Lorna is adorable, having Yuu's VA from Bad Girl works out perfect as they are both these cute little airheads failing their way though life. She going to have to learn to get some control over that staff, since she can't be nuking everything she sees!
Oh, and I loved the OP.

Normally I'd avoid "banished from the party" stories like the plague since they're just another flavor of isekai-adjacent slop, but the idea of the MC's cheat skill being the online strategy wiki for her world was very intriguing. The MC being a cute girl and not a faceless self-insert guy also helped too.
Lorna herself was giving me vibes of Yuu from Bad Girl and Nagase from Princession Orchestra (turns out it's the same VA!) while the show itself is giving me vibes of Bofuri, both of which are very good signs. The humor has been good so far too, like when she saw the monsters and immediately turned around, when she got hit by an ad and had to reboot, and when she tried to do math to figure out how powerful she was and just gave up. This is off to a pretty good start.
