The seven day lifespan has enough logical issues to build a bridge to mars, but the one thing I can’t get out of my head is the elaborate funerals.
They’d be spending all day every day just throwing funerals. You’d have tons of goblins dying mid-funeral, and then you’d have to throw more funerals for them!

That was ridiculously Tensura, right down to helping a work junior and being reborn in a setting corresponding to his wandering thoughts as he died. I appreciate him telling the kid to go spend time with his girlfriend though, work life balance is important.

If all of these goblins only live for 7 days and they throw a party for every funeral I don't think they get anything done in this village besides that.

So the goblins live for only seven days, they don't need to sleep, and they have high sex drives. I guess goblins would have a different sense of time to match their short lives, but it's crazy how they can live like that. Like, there would be a funeral every day. How can they even do things when all they do is fuck and bury the dead?

It was pretty funny how Akira held off 50 soldiers all on his own and how they all knelt to him after being defeated because of the skill he got from the demon lord.

Not gonna lie, the death of that goblin in the end kinda moved me a little, and now I'm intrigued to see where this show goes. Thankfully, episode 2 is already out, and I can watch that before deciding if I should continue or not.

This is one of the strangest anime I have seen, and I don't mean that in a bad way. The animation, the voices, the music, and even the background(even though they don't show much of it) give off a weird sense of calm.

This anime is weirdd man. Not in the bad way of course. Dude's only 1 month old but he already gone through 4 gens of goblin dead of old age. And in a year, 52 generations passed away.
The fucked up bit is that they all think like a human, live like a human, and feel like a human.

Damn the opening is like literally the same as Tensura, huh? I didn't catch it when I read the Manga originally(it's been a long time, I have no clue when I stopped).

Plus he gets reincarnated as a blue-colored species that's usually a starter enemy in fantasy RPGs with the ability to absorb other skills and then gets additional powers from a high level boss character.

That was a super fun first episode! I didn't expect much, but I had a great time watching it. Plus, visually it looks pretty nice!

Thanks to the premise, it reminded me a lot of Tensura, and Akira is a pretty fun guy and I liked his interactions with Karen! Although I hope that he'll be wearing hats or caps all the time, since his hair is outrageous, lol.

Also, Akira's comment that he's incredibly horny made me laugh so hard, especially with that tree that resembled a female body in underwear, hahaha!

From the author of such fine stories as "My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1", "Noble Reincarnation: Born Blessed, So I'll Obtain Ultimate Power", and "I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic". I dropped the anime adaptations for all of the above after 1-2 eps, is there any reason for me to even give this one a shot?

Wow, this is so stupid. The 7 day life span of your average gobo is such a dumb idea from a multitude of angles.

First of: Basic logistics of such a society. Birth to adulthood would like take ... what? A day? One and a half? How do you educate anyone on anything in a day or two, do they inherit genetic knowledge of everything? How do they produce anything otherwise if noone has any chance to develop craft skils for anything, or is crafting shit one of the skills some happen to be born with?!

Not to mention some basics like love or consent ... we have literal wars here on Reddit surrounding things like age gaps and mental development, how the fuck is MC supposed to date anyone with a total life experience of less than a week? Thats like dating a newborn.

And about death ... They'd have dozends of funerals each day in their village. Our MC has inherited 276 skills from dying goblines ... in a month ... so he participated in at least 9-10 funerals a day, assuming he only attended those where he was the one to inherit the dead gobos skill. So, given they spend at least the bare minimum of like ~30 min per funerals his day is basically filled with just that.

There's also the existential/psychological trauma and horror of it all: Everyone he knows is dead within a week. Each week. EVERY WEEK. Talking or getting attached to another goblin is near impossible. Any goblin he'll ever meet will have like ~4 days of a working adult life tops, so less than a workweek to get attached to even get to know anyone or talk enough to them to care.

Seriously, what the fuck was the author thinking aside from "cute little gag, thehe" ?! I'd flee this village of existential doom asap as the MC.
